    As a Cameroonian who like many Africans has been following this man's activities with for quite some times, I have no doubt he is one of the finest, sharpest and intelligent economists and monetary policy makers of his generation not only on the continent but surely in the world. Honest Nigerian sisters and brothers should take a bolt step to seek out for the truth and enforce the rule of law. Like the courageous journalist did.

    Saying goodluck ebele joe is not corrupt is just like saying lawrence anini was never an armed robber. Yes the president has the prerogative of mercy but why would alamieyeseigha be pardoned while Sanusi be punished openly for open up the mess under his nose, at any rate whatever anyone might like to tagged it? SO SAD! And i say thanks to President jonathan and his supporters for making SLS HERO of our time!

    Basically, PDP needs alot of money to tackle APC. GEJ, as president, has access to public funds. Hence, at least $20b is missing and alot of stories follow. Sanusi must have been called by the presidency to forget the issue but as an intelligent man and a professional (not politician, for now), he would have said "no" to "them."
    "Best advice" given to GEJ by his so - called advisers was to remove him to reduce the noise about missing $20b fund....Hope everyone is seeing what is really going on here. Sanusi has explained how he contributed to the nation's reserve in about 10 times what it used to be. Let GEJ disproof that.
    God bless you Sanusi and God bless the federal republic of Nigeria!

    There aren’t many Nigerians like this man. He’s intelligent, articulate, honest and fearless. I’ve never seen a Nigerian public official trying to fight corruption. The popular phrase is “If you can’t beat them join them” but not this man. I have seen a couple of his interviews and discussions on youtube and I think he’s he really knows his onions. I however like him more for his guts. I think suspending him when he only has less than 4 months to go was a dump move.

    Take it or leave it, for the very first time the Nigerian banks are working towards providing real frame work for economy growth through their current drive to provide support for SMES. They employ over 75% of Nigeria work force. This is happening under this man's watch when recently mopped up 75% of government funds in the commercial banks which to me was one of the key reasons most banks hardly bother about aiding the SMES when they can control most funds of a state. Before he came on board we were told that most Nigerian banks were not healthy - this both gov and the then cbn denied. But when he came we all saw how healthy they were. Even the banks am sure will tell Nigerians that they are a lot more healthier today compared to then. We most accept that to get things right there most be sacrifice. His suspension to me is purely vindictive since he chose to expose the rot embedded in the govt of today.

    If the NNPC that generates almost 80% of Nigeria annual budget was last audited in 2005, says a lot about the financial recklessness that exist in Nigeria and yet GEJ is fighting corruption according to myopic Nigerians.

Instead of sacking the petroleum minister and NNPC officials and ordering an investigation into this matter it is Sanusi you fired. Shows that you are the biggest promoter of corruption in Nigeria. Attackis the best form of defense!! This very sound and intelligent economist just evaded the real question. He simply took the searchlight off himself and placed it on NNPC. Does that change the fact that there are unreconcilable figures in CBN's account that point to fraud and financial recklessness and total abuse of power? SANUSI IS A POSTER FIGURE OF WHAT A CBN GOVERNOR SHOULD NOT BE(HE IS JUST TOO LOUD)!!!!!

    • @DejiTeye
      @DejiTeye 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rotimi, you sound intelligent> However you need to listen to the clip again. If its true that " there are unreconcilable figures in CBN's account that point to fraud and financial recklessness and total abuse of power", why is the Presidency acting now? The Audit was in 2013 May, this is 2014 January. Why are they reacting now that Sanusi is crying alarm over missing $20Billion? I need you to enlighten me cos I would love to know your view. Thanks Bro.

      Ayodeji Olukayode thanks deji. rotimi is living in mars not earth talkless of nigeria. sls had just made us see most things a cbn governor would not have talked about only for fear or personal interest

    • @rotimijeje
      @rotimijeje 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have listened to the clip again, kindly point out what i am missing.
      All i noticed is that Sanusi is joining two issues here.
      1. He raised an allegation on missing revenue of which the finance minister has recommended an independent audit of the account. Why not let that rest and wait for the audit report.
      2. There is a corruption allegation leveled against him, why not talk strictly based on that and sue the government if they are wrong.
      In response to the young man that asked why the government waited till now? This present government so far, has high regard for the rule of law and it will be only fair to give the man a chance to prove them wrong. Sanusi is fond of media verdict, he professes to know what is right and he needs to do as he preaches. He should just go to court rather than seeking sentiment from uninformed public. The government in its own maturity (knowing the sensitivity of the office he holds) gave him a chance to resign which he brags about declining. Don't you think that is a way they where trying to give him a soft landing while still investigating the allegations leveled against him?
      Mind you; sanusi is raising allegation of corruption against NNPC and not the Federal Government or GEJ. While the federal government is pointing all its fingers at Sanusi (and pls don't tell me that GEJ will profit directly from the corruption allegations against NNPC…. I can also argue that they can as well profit from the corruption of Sanusi ….. well, not unless SLS is being greedy by not declaring GEJ's portion of the loot, hence the exposure…. LOL. Wake up from your slumber young man and Lets not confuse these issues!
      If you have a rebuttal to my statements, please talk based on facts and not speculations or beer parlor gist as I HAVE WORK TO DO!

    We have some very competent candidates currently running for the office of the President of Nigeria, therefore team work should be encouraged greatly towards the anticipated victory. This is simply because, Nigeria has enough issues already; that requires urgent solutions. Perhaps a public debate between Sowore, Durotoye, Moghalu and other aspirants included. What do you think?

    Nigeria as it is today need a president who is experience with courage to step on toes to lead the country out of PDP mess.Nigeria...a country were people operate without policy yet policy are implemented everyday.A country were the giver of the bribe is set free while d collector is sent to prison...were is that law that says both the giver and the collector are guilty.Infact eastern Nigerians people are becoming something else,they refuse to see any fault in this man called Jonathan,due to ethnic. sentiments.despite a proof that can make a deaf to hear by sanusi,even the educated ones among them still dont see anything in that.development is far away from Nigeria if we continue like this

    My God!. Sanusi Lamido I pray we have 20 of your type. QUESTION PLEASE: If as CEO you employ me to handle your account and along the line i happen to raise issues of fraud are you supposed to set up a team to investigate such fraud or fire me claiming I raised such issue solely to embarrass you as my CEO?

    Why would GEJ use Sanusi to justify his subsidy removal policy and would not want him to talk about the rot being perpetrated in the name of subsidy.

    Sanusi is a fine gentleman with good intentions. I also have same impression about Goodluck Jonathan. Unfortunately, Sanusi, should have understood that Nigerians are quick to believe anything that says govt is corrupt and in this case, consistency is important so that the country is not incited for undue troubles. The truth is that 99% of Nigerian Politicians are very very corrupt but you fight them with caution just like Sanusi have done great job fighting corrupt practices through many of his strong financial policies. You cannot fight these guyz by making unnecessary noise like Sanusi did recently. His actions are a distraction to any tactical maneuver to deal with corruption. For example, Odua bought bullet proof cars for N255m. Before that time Fashola bought his own for N300m but no noise. the question is, does our system and policy allow it? Should Jonathan be seen circumventing policies and procedures even though it was put by previous corrupt leaders for their own benefits which he may not know about? How many of us are ready to be like Sanusi in our work places? you want to supply even a pin and the procurement guyz are asking for addition, security man is asking for tips and secretary and accountants are asking for theirs. Now everybody says Jonathan is bad. My take is that these Corruption is so serious that it will require tactical strategy to handle it without upturning our economy or being bloody. The only way is the National Conference else the present Law makers cannot give us good laws.
