I read "Eveland" as "Eve-land" ever since I first read Ike's name. But considering how Betsy read the username "dragonsarenotextinct," I guess his pronunciation is kind of to be expected. XD

I do pronounce eveland as eve-land but as a non niji watcher, i pronounced "Ike" as ee-kay for the longest time
at first i thought his name would be pronounced as in Japanese and was so surprised to find out im wrong

Well uh if there's two good things April brought us it's a boatload of metal covers, and funny mispronunciations. The latter since apparently chuggaaconroy revealed he struggled learning how to pronounce Gura's name correctly, as well Bettel's struggle with Ike's name (and technically also Maria's but that would be how you pronounce it in English so that probably doesn't matter as much).
I will admit I initially did the same thing Bettel did until I learned. It's kinda like the name Vicetone (probably now best known for the coffin dance song, and Fubuki singing it), I see the E in the middle of the word and I think you're supposed to pronounce it even though it's clearly a compound word.
Bettel is such a hoot when it comes to how he pronounces things lol
