It's honestly crazy to me that there were not only new, in box parts available for this car, but that these guys were able to find so many of them to make this car factory fresh again. Seriously, hats off to these guys, this is what dedication to your craft looks like, and it preserves incredible and iconic machines like these into the future.

I'm currently restoring my R33 Skyline GTS-T. By far not as special as this one, but still a childhood dream come true. Seeing a video like this makes me super excited to realize how far I've come, and how she will eventually turn out. Thanks for this great video, detailing a 400R would be a dream come true and a total labour of love.
@@HNRichard Successful people don't hoard stuff they just buy newer stuff. The people who buy these cars want the nostalgic experience as if they were buying these new from back in the day.
It would have cost more than that......i've been buying parts to restore my R33, and some of these parts they have are ultra rare and impossible to find....most of them you have to go to suppliers who have hidden stock. even just all those small interior pieces like the center tray, arm rest, shifter surround, etc...youre talking hundreds of dollars per piece...let alone headlights, spoiler blade, bumper, bonnet, wheel, etc....I bet this cost more than an average GTR just in parts price alone.
The key holder just blew my mind. That shows that this isn't just business to y'all. You guys really love what you do. I'm glad people like you do what you do with these vehicles and bring them back so meticulously, I'm also glad there are people like your clients who care enough to foot what I'm imagining is a rather large bill, too allow such art to take place.

This put a smile on my face while you guys were restoring the 400R :). Nice choice of music too. Even the jazz reminded me of old 90's Japanese auto videos and Gran Turismo. Amazing job on the restoration everywhere.
These guys are the "Maestro's of Magic" when it comes to vehicle restoration and paint perfection. If I ever got a car that needed restoration or bringing it back to "like new" condition, I would seek out their services for it. That older NISMO badge in blue looks incredible. I wish Nissan had continued to use that older style badge, which in my opinion, looks WAY better than the modern NISMO badging. When they do finally come out with a Nissan "Proto" Z (or 400Z, whatever they are gonna call it in production form), they should definitely use the older style NISMO badging on it. That would be the "icing on the cake" so to speak.

@@Syncopia Not these. Rare vintage mechanical artworks like these become collectibles and museum showpieces decades later. Not every car is worthy, just the iconic cars that seemed to mascot the eras they were built and released in. This car already had its time being driven rough and well. If it can retire as a magnificent specimen of its lineage, then it's worth it for it to be maintained carefully. Used only for car shows, car meets and other special events, artworks like these are to be transported enclosed in trucks and not driven about daily.
