When our friend Melanie went to check on him since she was close by, he ran away towards the freeway, so she backed away... the sun was settings, and a dog on the freeway is extremely dangerous not only for the dog but for people too. I asked JoAnn Wiltz to set up the clock to 5 A.M and meet me at the rescue location. I figured that by the time we get there, we will have sunlight, and after another freezing night, he will be more desperate for help. My hunch worked 😎👍

The tail wag at the beginning when he realizes he is being rescued is simultaneously heart warming and heart breaking. Props to HFP and a new level of hell for people who hurt animals for kicks.
I am an animal lover and I cried every time I watch these videos and cried again after the animals were rescued.
Personally instead of euthanasising if they can find the perpetrators I think they should be the ones to be put down.
What a beautiful, trusting dog. Sadly, someone abused that trust badly. Horrendous that someone is living free in the community after causing such awful injuries. Good luck in your new life ❤️❤️

For everyone asking "Why" - I'm being polite when I say humans are a plague on this planet. In my career I have worked with over 1000 K-9 personalities in kennels, shelters, rescues & as a trainer. If you want to see the worst of humanity it's here. If you have a heart, you will cry daily. It is an emotionally draining, hard, heartbreaking & never ending job. I'll take a dog over a human each & every time. Thanks for the work you do to help these beautiful souls 👍👍

With animals there are scum bags with humans but does not make all bad not even close. I have seen people put their lives on the line for animals. @Dark Waters Technically, the word is neutered which applies to both cats and dogs. Although they use the term spayed for cats and neuter for dogs... The scientific word would be castrated for dogs, but people can't deal with that word which I understand. I worked with animals at a lot of different various jobs for 15 years, I learned a lot.

I love what you do. My three furbaby felines are all rescues... my therapy dog was 6 month old lab mix adopted from a military family who were deployed overseas and couldn't take him. He died after 14 years of work, joy and laughter. Rescue animals are so appreciative, AND appreciated!

Laws against this type of brutality need to be soooo much stricter. The fact that the monster who did this will most likely never be held accountable is infuriating.

What an awesome dog 🐕 Julian is. He loves people (despite the evils he ebdured), loves dogs, and cats 🐈 ❤ He'll make a great companion for a lucky person
While I love dogs, I've always been a cat person. But looking at Julian's sweet, beautiful eyes, I wish he could be mine. Such a gentle boy, even after all the trauma he's been through. He deserves a wonderful home where he will loved and treasured for the rest of his life. I'd love to see a follow-up video of him once he's adopted.

Ive been a head-over-heels lover of dogs for 62 yrs, never dreaming I would ever genuinely love cats. But a few yrs ago, OHHH how my eyes were opened & my heart, forever changed. And ALL OF THE CREDIT goes to Eldad & his HFP Team.
Altho I'll never be able to adequately thank them, I will live the rest of my life profoundly grateful to them. As it is soley BECAUSE of HFP that, with wide-open arms, I welcomed dear little kitties, my sweet little puffball angels, who have since filled my life with SO MUCH joy! Now... to the very depths of my heart, I am overwhelmed with unconditional love for both pups AND kitties. I only pray I am worthy of their sweet love in return.💕🙏💕

I usually have “happy teardrops” when you rescue abandoned animals, but this made me cry angry and sorrowful tears. He is such a good boy, and to be hurt in such an unfeeling way... humans can be so horrible! May his life from rescue on never hold such fear and hurting again!

He was shot on the underside of his body. Thats weird. Weirder is they shot at his private part. Thats extremely disturbing. Im very worried someone out there is getting ready to set up from animal.

Its not mean. This isn't like what happened to poor Tater Tot. This is deliberate. This isn't like when a kid shoots an animal being mean and stupid, and hits them on the back. He was shot on the underside, and in deliberate places, you know what I mean. Im very worried that this is leading up to something worse involving a person.

What an absolute love of a dog! He's so, so sweet with everyone! The video didn't mention... do you leave in bb pellets like that, or does he need surgery to remove? Poor baby, to be hurt so scared, yet still be so sweet and trusting. I wish him a beautiful life.
It'd most likely do more harm than good to remove them at this point.
If the pellets aren't in danger of migrating towards anything critical, it's not always necessary to surgically remove them. A vet can monitor their movements (if there is any) and wait until they migrate to just under the skin and then remove them with a quick incision.

I adopted a cattle dog mix who had multiple pellets in her that were discovered during X-rays. I'm literally crying for seeing a dog shot is saved by wonderful people like you. You cannot believe how many evil creatures in Turkey do that as they know they won't be punished. It is pure evil. I couldn't save some dogs and I still feel guilty about that I couldn't save them. Yet here, seeing this video made me cry out of pure joy. Thank you so much for your effort.

my little pitt rescue i picked up on rural country road had a CO2 cartridge under the skin of her head, almost between her eyes....i left it in place, no surgery......it does not cause her pain....she was already terrified................
