Thanks for sitting and chatting with me! Let me know what your favourite thing that you knit in 2022 was - I love getting ideas for projects from other knitters 🧶💜
I’m so happy to hear you’re making for charity. I support a charity shop in the city - Mothers Union- it’s linked to our church but it basically supports women and children. I donate not just knits but handmade quilts and bags. Awesome lot of patterns. My most favourite knit last year was the desperate housewives cardy
Very inspiring to knit for charity! I need to do more of that. And your comments about knitting things you'd actually wear strikes home with me. I get so excited about a project and then at the end give it away cause it's not me 🤣
Thanks Wendy! Oooh maybe we can do a mini charity MKAL. Hahah yeah honestly I'm getting to the point where I'm planning on starting to get go of my makes, otherwise my wardrobe's going to get out of hand soon lol. The charity knitting helps with that too, it's fun to just make stuff and not have to worry about whether it fits me!
Beautiful projects! I really like your Tynn Line summer top and Goldenfern sweater. This year I want knit and crochet more garments especially cardigans.
Thank you! I've been trying my hardest with it - there are so many lovely yarns available locally so I figured it was worth highlighting them as much as I can 😊
🎉 happy new year Kat. Lovely to catch up with you. I will have to send you my spreadsheet with my finished projects 😂😂 as I’m hopeless with ravelry. My favourite make was also an Isabelle Kraemer pattern called Eri. I have been making Ambah O’Briens party Cardy, button band to go. Such a fun knit and a great stash buster 😊
@@OliphantKat a non super wash sport weight merino polwarth yarn called Pegasus. Available at Grumpy Ginger Yarn Company. First time using non superwash and it won’t be the last.
Oooh yes I'm embarking a big non-superwash project too! Excited to see how it pans out, the last time I used it for cables they ended up really popping. What did you like so much about it?
Lovely to see you Kat! Wow you have been busy last year 😊 you have made lovely items and well done on supporting charities I might have to look in to this myself. I have made make nine for this year hope I can keep to those patterns. One of them is a colourwork cowl, my first colourwork project wish me luck 😃
Yay nice to hear from you too, Sylvia! Haha yeah - I hadn't realised quite how busy it was until I sat down to make this 😬😆. Is you make nine somewhere up online that I can see?
Wait, just found it on Insta. Oh my gosh, that cowl is gorgeous! All the luck, I'm sure you'll do fine - just take it slowly at the beginning and you'll figure it out ☺️
Love your work, so many finished objects! I'm currently planning to make a Maema cardigan after seeing yours, good to know it will probably be a slow knit! Love the homecoming honeycombs beanie too, might have to try it for my niece or even charity 😊
Thanks Megan! Ah yes the Maema is definitely a labour of love, it's so worth it though! Also one of my testers knitted Homecoming Honeycombs for her niece too so you'd be in great company 😄
Great collection of knitting. I’m aiming to use stash as well as support Australian dyers/makers. BWM yarn is so good for blankets. I have some of Chloe’s slub yarn from Wool and Works to knit your gorgeous Rainbow Baby Baby Blanket. Big hugs.
Haha oh goodness yes on the BWM - I may have just bought another blanket's worth of yarn from them 😅. Thanks for grabbing the pattern and the yarn, let me know where I can see your blanket when you finish it!
Hi! Happy new year. What is the name of the pattern that you made in the pink Sandness Garn Line? I just read the transcript and collect see that you said the name. Thank you! Great projects. My favorite knit of 2022 was either the Single Malt for my husband or the Lunae shawl or Twists and Turns for me.
Hey Heather! So that's a tricky question - I intentionally left the name of the pattern out of the video, if you're curious about it there's an explanation of why and also some tips on where you can find the pattern name here: th-cam.com/video/Ri4O4BkJBJg/w-d-xo.html I've heard a lot of good things about Single Malt! I'm sort've tempted to make one for myself 😄. Did you have fun making it?

Thanks Stephanie! I'll have to look Mother's Union up, and the cardi too 😀
So nice to see you back on TH-cam
Thanks Sue! Sorry if I made you worried that I'd decided to stop filming 😅

This was so fun to watch! Well done you, so many pretty items!!
Thanks lovely! Looking forward to twinning with you more in next year's video 😄

Thanks Roshelle! Ooh yes I want to make another cardigan too! Do you have any patterns in mind?
Your Goldenfern is so gorgeous! Those colors ❤
Thank you so much!
It's nice that your patterns use yarns we can get more easily in Australia.

I still squeal internally whenever i see your sizzlepop
Yes, I used so much handdyed in my shawls! They're great for using up single skeins. I just... have too many shawls now lolol.

@@OliphantKat hi again, thank you for letting me know about the designer. I “get” it (the issue) and I won’t GET it (the pattern)
@@heatherlynnewest No problem! Thanks for understanding 💜
