I understand what the directors were getting at with such an ending... This style of directorship tells the audience that unlike other movies, the show is not over yet because life still continues after the camera is off. I love it and I hate it, but that is what is true to life.
I really hope there is another season. This had so many twists and turns. I want to know why Xia agreed to leave and why it took Gu so long to go back to her. He's missed so much of his son's life. Xia never had the opportunity to decide whether she wanted to care for a paralyzed husband.

OMG. What a messy drama. The ML is a good man but doesn’t know how to stay away from a drunk horny teenager. This teenager gets wooed by a rich pedofiel how is in love with her for ten years with a promise to marry her. Her younger sister says that she’s pregnant by the obsessed pedofiel. Her father married an evil woman, the mother of the evil younger sister, after the death of his first saintly wife. He himself is rotten to the core for hitting his 1st blood daughter for some unknown reason, probably because of his 2nd rotten wife and his adopted 2nd rotten daughter. So blood isn’t thicker than poison. No wonder the teenager is afraid, suspicious, and afraid of scammers. Which makes the resolve of the ML to love, be true and protect the stressed out teenager, kind of cute. But trouble is coming from all sides (don’t get a whiplash), like Winter somewhere else. And this is only the Beginning. Watch this drama when you want to look at the love between a male lead that is infatuated but still somewhat reasonable, and an anxious teenager that tries to stay levelheaded riding a rollercoaster of emotions, lies, intimidation and physical abuse, while the rest of the cast is totally insane and probably sniffed cocaïne every few minutes. Yeah, everybody but the male lead (for at least 90% of the story) was absolutely crazy. FL starts out cute and naive, goes into dumb territory with the ex storyline because she never questioned anything or listened to a thing her husband said until he made her listen (although I'm not at all happy with how he did it) then she ends the performance as a weak character. The crazy ex and her crazy adopted brother get together after he 1)tried to rape a drunk FL only stopping because she nearly vomitted on him, 2)drugged and kidnapped ML so the crazy ex could rape him, and when she refuses and insults him instead he 3)rapes his adoptive sister. I don't know what about any of this she found sexy but she runs out of a wedding with the ML, who she's supposedly wanted this whole time, and goes with her equally crazy brother looking a little too happy after what happened between them. Also hate how the sister of the ML is seemingly forgiven for 1)locking the FL in an insane asylum to blackmail the ML and 2)sending her flunky to run over the FL only to turn her own brother into a paraplegic. And wth is with that ending? How did the ML's wife and his crazy ex end up as such good friends?
Cdramas logics are no logics. We are some what at fault for the continuous production of these kind of crappie drama because we consume them. I am mentally ranting while watching this ( an oxymoron I know ) thinking if any female writers to part in this absolut insult to our intelligence.

So the sister gets her way now but look at the price it paid what she did to her brother but blamed his wife, The sister is the one who caused it to happen. I thought the ending was good that they get to be a family instead of wondering if they would ever meet again. But I don't like endings this way but it does leave the story open if they ever decide to make a Season 2.
The series was good but just why each romantic relationship in this cdrama strats with a rape. The ML had s3x with the FL when she was drugged... even if she started it, she was drugged! She wasn't aware of what was happening! She didn't control herself because she was under some drugs... And for the second couple, the guy nearly raped the girl and in some ways she fell in love with him after that... (maybe there are some other reasons but stilll this is ths only reason shown). Maybe i didn't understand the scenes well, but if i'm right this isn't romantic at all for me.
The ending definitely sucks. Sometimes I wonder if these mini dramas are the final work of a university degree, if yes, please learn to write scripts and understand that we already have real life for sad endings. We invest two or three hours in seeing something that makes us laugh or dream.

The fatal auto accident, the fatal illness...the male star steps in to 'defend' the 'woman of interest'...the breakup leading to the drunken bar scene, the school sweetheart popping out of the woodwork to try to win the lost love back...SO predictable...
Its started good and I thought it will be cute even with fl stepsister but the end was roller-coaster with ml supposed fiancee and her guy. Both lunatics but true love healed those few loose screws for them and they all become besties at the end. 😭 And ml sister joined lunaric circus. The ending was ass. It's Chinese, Mandarin I believe (I've only watched one Cantonese show from China and it sounds completely different. Hopefully I don't have the names flipped.) It's a short drama series, I think 20 something episodes at under 10 minutes each, you might find something slightly longer but there won't be more substance.

It's a short drama series, I think 20 something episodes at under 10 minutes each, you might find something slightly longer but there won't be more substance.
