After almost a week worth of testing, I found that stacking ACCURACY is dead now because you'll lose out on AP and will do nearly 0 damage against DR _AND_ EVASION players. Get at least 900 ACCURACY and then focus AP if you want to do damage to the new metas. Me and a friend tested both DR and EVA out the other day and of course DR was stronger now, but stupid enough, EVA was supposingly being Nerfed but it was actually ACC that got Nerfed. Hence why everyone is selling Dawn's and other Accuracy accessories due to its irrelevance in PvP pass 900-1k now. Edit: Forgot to mention that Shield classes are a joke now too. If you don't have a grab class let alone enough grab percentage, you won't ever win a 1v1 with the new shield metas. Fought a Succ Nova name Acsi or something like that, they seem to run around 320ap and 400dp. If I can get lucky enough to CC them when they fail to grab me I can melt them. But if they decided to play chicken, and hide in SA FG, I'm not winning. Lmao I get melted just getting close to them having minions on all corners and SA spam skills that also throw minions at you. And I tried with both Nouver and Blackstar, there is no winning against Shield classes now unless you can succeed in grabbing them. 😂
Also, aside from low AP with evasion, nobody has mentioned that in this test, evasion build has more DR than almost every evasion class. If you're not a mystic or striker you will have less DR around 20+, these 2 classes are the best way scenario for evasion (hybrid!) right now.
This is a good video, it shows lot of potential with dr and eva for current patch. However, the problem in this scenario its only attacker vs defender In the practical situation, 1 vs 1 or 1 vs X or X vs X, they both will attack and SA trade will happen. This is the problem will start. Eva is much have disadvantages, due they need to sacrifice 2 accessories for eva (in this illustration is Sicil and Centa) which I believe it cant be switched, otherwise you will lose huge bunch of Eva, because as Eva users you need at least get minimum of 1200+ to survive, 1300 to be good (before patch), 1400+ is immortal. While going DR, it will be more flexible because you only need to sacrifice 1 accessories (in this video is Cadry) . On the other hand, DR player when meet Acc ppl, they will change those Cadry into Ominous ring which have the highest rate buff for accur accessories. Because DR even without Cadry already been in their minimum requirement DR to be good which is 600+, if you want more tank, go 700+ and you will be immortal if you reach like 800+ for now. While with only 1 Cadry it will boost even further. If they both fight, DR player will win for sure because they have more AP, and they can manage those Cadry > Ominous or keep stick with Cadry. It will be ended if they fight each other, those Eva player won't deal much damage as DR player dealt to the Eva player. Let say Eva get a chance to full CC DR player, with his full combo, it only able to dealt 10 - 15% of their total HP. while if the DR gets a chance to full combo those Eva player, they dealt 30 - 60% of the eva total HP. So I think DR have more advantages even Eva is getting stronger, because of the DR increasing as your video is +95. Eva will struggle for now, Until those Sovereign Weapon is up, because Eva player need more AP, they sacrifice too much on their AP due to the Sacrifice 2 accessories, and it will be hard for Eva player to only use Centa to get 5 Debo pieces set. Once the Sovereign Weapon is up, I might think Eva can keep it up with DR.
dr is 100% stronger but we knew its gonna be mess for a while and its ok there is prob gonna be changes every week from now for some time next week might be different story already
You are comparing a 310ap build vs a 292ap build, the evasion build does way less dmg even if the tankiness is "same" (isnt really because attacker has low accuracy) On a striker that hard scales with evasion Vs an attacker with low accuracy do a test where he is 3/3 debo/accuracy Also show human dmg on attacker
People def overreacted to the min 10% dmg on evasion making it "dead". People were thinking that full ap monkey was gonna kill eva due to this when in reality it looks tankier against that specific build. DR is just overtuned and is just a superior stat for now. Making full eva not viable. People need to chill they will move numbers around in the next few weeks.

No, evasion after update is worse than DR build, but if u still like to play evation, at least you must at 650-700gs to see different, if just finish season then go with DR sir

the real test should have been how much damage did an evasion build do to a DR build before compared to now.... and thats all you need to see to say YEA EVASION IS BASICALLY DEAD... when your build goes from yea i may need a lil more skill and might have to get a few extra combos off to, the guy dont even have to move and i cant kill him cuz his DR is so high i cant damage him, and that is a result of sacrificing damage for evasion.... thats just how evasion has always been, comes at a high cost, now to feel tanky in evasion comes at the cost of just not being able to kill the other person
Eh I still see it as a drastic overreaction. They'll likely tone DR down. People were freaking out about the 10% DMG min but it seems evasion is very survivable. So in the long run I think the evasion rework looks waaay healthier than missmissmiss. Dr is just overturned. The full ap monkey ain't killing it either.

Just because evasion my be tankier, we sacrifice a ton of damage to be able to trade with a tanky class, that might be lacking accuracy, but even with new changes i took all my accs crystals off and went to crypt and didnt miss ... so now evasion/accuracy is no longer a thing, evasion was good until someone had enough accuracy to actually hit you then you melted. but now they can all hit you, you dont melt as fast but have 0 chance of killing them. so evasion is now good enough to get jumped and possibly survive long enough to run away

Succ witch here. I have a friend equal gear as mine who is Awk. Striker . Pre patch when we dueled - i could maybe win 3/10 fights , due to me being able to kite his attack , while dumping a lot of damage into his SA. But if he'd grab me - i'd be dead in 2 skills. Post patch its the quickest 0/10 for me . I deal almost no damage to him , he could go afk and it'll take me 3 full combos to kill him, while he can still grab and kill me with a half of his combo , full combo if i have mana shield up.
You should probably keep building your normal path as a new player. You can swap later. These changes will be adjusted several times over. You can swap but the next while will likely be volatile. Numbers are going to fluctuate over the next month. Unless you are pushing into the 700s GS this will be changed drastically by the time it matters. If you are on a eva class then prob stay eva unless you are min maxing some immediate uncapped pvp.
to many small brained ppl commenting on this video and not actually paying attn, sure evasion may seem a lil more tanky but at the cost of so much ap, when he clearly showed fighting someone with similar ap and opponent has higher DP GOOD LUCK, aka Evasion players have and will always have alot less AP due to all evasion accs having 0 AP on them, or sacrificing damage for evasion in things like artifacts and lighstones...or needing to spend most crystal slots on evasion/defensive stats... so in reality evasion players have no chance to really kill any player with high DR... Game is basically dead we went from using skill and knowledge to find gaps and exploit them to now standing in one spot and hitting eachother with wet noodles .... RIP BDO 2024

This is what I was thinking. They always add more defensive stuff and everyone acts like the sky is falling, but right around the corner is some offensive upgrades nobody takes into account. These dumb ass devs need to learn to put this kind of stuff out at the same time…unless it’s by design since it seems to happen all too often

New hardcore season server seems like the pvp spot since you'll do more damage there with caps so no1 can stack DR. 260 ap 370 dp or whatever it was. Going to be interesting seeing how bdo goes the next month ...
For BDO Dev Team, I think this was an exercise in futility. I don't know what their end goal was but looks like DR is King once again. This is no different than how it was before except now Lower Geared Players have 0% chance to kill a higher geared ones. No skill required just swipe and become OP!
I just want to say this as someone else who tested this right now ninja not the best example to test things due to the fact the class damage is being messed up by special attack evasion I main succ warrior we are having the same problem. Then second you tested it on a striker their stats right now are bloated because for whatever reason they give the cloth fighter benefits for both evasion and Dr and now if you build evasion you get some extra Dr due to brackets so strikers are benefitting from this change wayyyyy too much. I have been to other evasion classes that melt and get punished now for playing dumb and some classes melting Dr classes like warrior and Valk once they build for damage ofc. I would not mind helping you retest this
Problem is they cant find a middle term, before was one shot, now some classes are like rock stones and you cant even scratch them as a assassin class which should be, like the name suggest, a assassin
@@IllTygerKingI think the way it is rn is fine if...they remove the potions from PvP. Cuz a fight between two full DR guys would be infinite, when one finally grabs another to do a full combo, they do like 30% of their hp which is easily healed in the next 10s of the fight.
Chill, thats why a new weapon is announced. Interchanging buff between buffing dp and ap was always a rotation in bdo. They just wait for the overall gs to keep up 1st then buff something.

Ya, but the only ppl that mystic was killing were gearlettes and squish classes running full blast. Anyone that was running 700 plus DR she would have the same problem against.

Additional accuracy was added to compensate for the earring. An additional test could have been done with more accuracy, but I didn’t see a point as evasion is clearly inferior to DR with just 1 accuracy accessory
@@hallowsbane it is a wrong test, no alchemy rotation, no good acc, just put 1 dawn and turo, in relics +30 acc, buff all stuff and you have 1172 acc vs 1293 eva, its melted, 0 eva at all disto compensate atk with acc accesories, idk why you put there debo lol
I actually been asking for these changes for 2 years now. Finally... PvP is back to taking some skill rather than button mashing and using sub optimal combos/add ons/crystals because AP just out valued DP so much. Now you actually have to either get 2 full rotations in or at least a down smash and use your skills properly and in correct order depending situation. Better player will now go 9/10 - 1/0 rather than 6/7 - 3/4 in a 1v1.
@@akatsuki1929Either there is a big gear difference or maybe you are just using your skills wrong in the first place, and you got away with it before because the damage output of the game was way above the DP curve before. Even in the video you can see a non-extended combo is doing half hp of the player. I tested this as well with my friends/guildies the people who played their class at higher level with intent are still doing high damage and winning fights but people who face mash on their keyboard (with the same gear) do 0 damage to me. Crystals and add ons are so much more important now and people who build with 0 understanding get punished hard. Overall huge positive for the game. Switching from ninja to Zerker is like switching from riven to Garen in league. Just because Garen is easier doesn't mean riven is bad. There is huge skill expression, and it is visible in the way people play the character. BDO skill expression has been falling down the cliff last few years with people being able to pick new characters and deal out damage and get kills with little understanding. The skill expression of the game did not matter for mid-tier players and people could get away being mechanically worse because of their high AP. Now you actually have to play properly and people who are in top 1% of the bracket on skill is even more evident. You just have to accept that there you are either outmatched in gear / build set up. Or you were never good at the class. From that point you can get advice from players that get success on the class/build paths and learn from them. Good luck adventurer!

I played awakening ninja and i know max damage combos with a stiff, float and kd in a single combo (ragey combo) and it still doesnt kill any valks whatsoever. Tl dr : they killed ninja class it deals no damage and it's bugged. There's videos of 850 AP ninja not kiling a 650 dr zerker in a combo from one of the top guilds. You even give enemies attack speed buffs when u self buff on ninja. You're forced to roll to meta classes like zerker, valk ... .PA fucked up big.

If you were truly a good ninja player, you would be able to land 3 full combos on them and kill them 1v1 before they can cc you one time. New players here, with the new changes to DR, should we be building DR gear on evasion classes now? Musa for example.
You should probably keep building your normal path as a new player. You can swap later. These changes will be adjusted several times over. You can swap but the next while will likely be volatile. Numbers are going to fluctuate over the next month. Unless you are pushing into the 700s GS this will be changed drastically by the time it matters.
If you are on a eva class then prob stay eva unless you are min maxing some immediate uncapped pvp.
This is something that I will be testing, but as a newer player I agree with Robert

to many small brained ppl commenting on this video and not actually paying attn, sure evasion may seem a lil more tanky but at the cost of so much ap, when he clearly showed fighting someone with similar ap and opponent has higher DP GOOD LUCK, aka Evasion players have and will always have alot less AP due to all evasion accs having 0 AP on them, or sacrificing damage for evasion in things like artifacts and lighstones...or needing to spend most crystal slots on evasion/defensive stats... so in reality evasion players have no chance to really kill any player with high DR... Game is basically dead we went from using skill and knowledge to find gaps and exploit them to now standing in one spot and hitting eachother with wet noodles .... RIP BDO 2024
Yes basically everything is unkillable lol. I am sure they will continue to make changes and the new weapon coming out will hopefully start to feel more balanced 🙏
@@hallowsbane one can hope. but seems like they should just get rid of evasion all together. Evasion is DR now, and accuracy seems to not even matter anymore. one simple fix put some AP on evasion accs, boom issue solved now i can keep evasion and still have a decent amount of AP to fight someone with high DR... Crazy that evasion assc are the only ones that have 0 AP on any of them .... Eth ears, Haze ring, cent Belt.. .Sicils does but nobody using that ...

it won't matter in a few days with the new weapons. massive ap increases will make the dr changes feel like the old system again

This is what I was thinking. They always add more defensive stuff and everyone acts like the sky is falling, but right around the corner is some offensive upgrades nobody takes into account. These dumb ass devs need to learn to put this kind of stuff out at the same time…unless it’s by design since it seems to happen all too often

Hello, could you test please evasion player centour + off hand evasion vs dr player ? Because your scenario is very bad for AP ( sicil + centour ). We can see if evasion player take off hand + centour more tanky and can we hit someone with this ap...

Also, sovereing weapons are a thing now, so, i get why they overdid dr with it in mind.
Currently I think it wouldn’t be needed at all. If they are that high evasion they won’t be able to do any damage
I feel like evasion classes might go just sicil+kutum or centaur+nouver so they can have enough AP.

They're trying to make every pvp aspect into tanky fights like AoS. Some of us hate AoS.
New hardcore season server seems like the pvp spot since you'll do more damage there with caps so no1 can stack DR. 260 ap 370 dp or whatever it was.

i think the new patch is great unlike before were your dr is pointless, investing too much DR but easily get melted by AP and accu
For BDO Dev Team, I think this was an exercise in futility. I don't know what their end goal was but looks like DR is King once again. This is no different than how it was before except now Lower Geared Players have 0% chance to kill a higher geared ones. No skill required just swipe and become OP!
I just want to say this as someone else who tested this right now ninja not the best example to test things due to the fact the class damage is being messed up by special attack evasion I main succ warrior we are having the same problem. Then second you tested it on a striker their stats right now are bloated because for whatever reason they give the cloth fighter benefits for both evasion and Dr and now if you build evasion you get some extra Dr due to brackets so strikers are benefitting from this change wayyyyy too much. I have been to other evasion classes that melt and get punished now for playing dumb and some classes melting Dr classes like warrior and Valk once they build for damage ofc. I would not mind helping you retest this

Problem is they cant find a middle term, before was one shot, now some classes are like rock stones and you cant even scratch them as a assassin class which should be, like the name suggest, a assassin
@@Narak13k it's impossible to make everyone happy. The safest thing to do is snub the biggest complaint people have, which is cc=death gameplay.
@@IllTygerKingI think the way it is rn is fine if...they remove the potions from PvP. Cuz a fight between two full DR guys would be infinite, when one finally grabs another to do a full combo, they do like 30% of their hp which is easily healed in the next 10s of the fight.

Chill, thats why a new weapon is announced. Interchanging buff between buffing dp and ap was always a rotation in bdo. They just wait for the overall gs to keep up 1st then buff something.

I think the DR buff was to prepare for sovereign weapons so we will go back to a one shot meta soon dont worry.....The complainers seem to forget that we are about to get a boat load more AP with those.

also, everyone forgots that in game exist big potion like 750 hp and 50% (i cant remember certain numbers) more in control, 30 sec cd and you actually immortal with healing classes just forget about pvp
Additional accuracy was added to compensate for the earring. An additional test could have been done with more accuracy, but I didn’t see a point as evasion is clearly inferior to DR with just 1 accuracy accessory
@@hallowsbane it is a wrong test, no alchemy rotation, no good acc, just put 1 dawn and turo, in relics +30 acc, buff all stuff and you have 1172 acc vs 1293 eva, its melted, 0 eva at all

I actually been asking for these changes for 2 years now. Finally... PvP is back to taking some skill rather than button mashing and using sub optimal combos/add ons/crystals because AP just out valued DP so much. Now you actually have to either get 2 full rotations in or at least a down smash and use your skills properly and in correct order depending situation.
Better player will now go 9/10 - 1/0 rather than 6/7 - 3/4 in a 1v1.
skill? I can cc my opponent 10 times on ninja and cant kill it. I switched to zerker and now im unkillable lol.
@@akatsuki1929Either there is a big gear difference or maybe you are just using your skills wrong in the first place, and you got away with it before because the damage output of the game was way above the DP curve before. Even in the video you can see a non-extended combo is doing half hp of the player.
I tested this as well with my friends/guildies the people who played their class at higher level with intent are still doing high damage and winning fights but people who face mash on their keyboard (with the same gear) do 0 damage to me. Crystals and add ons are so much more important now and people who build with 0 understanding get punished hard.
Overall huge positive for the game.
Switching from ninja to Zerker is like switching from riven to Garen in league. Just because Garen is easier doesn't mean riven is bad. There is huge skill expression, and it is visible in the way people play the character. BDO skill expression has been falling down the cliff last few years with people being able to pick new characters and deal out damage and get kills with little understanding. The skill expression of the game did not matter for mid-tier players and people could get away being mechanically worse because of their high AP. Now you actually have to play properly and people who are in top 1% of the bracket on skill is even more evident.
You just have to accept that there you are either outmatched in gear / build set up. Or you were never good at the class. From that point you can get advice from players that get success on the class/build paths and learn from them. Good luck adventurer!

I played awakening ninja and i know max damage combos with a stiff, float and kd in a single combo (ragey combo) and it still doesnt kill any valks whatsoever. Tl dr : they killed ninja class it deals no damage and it's bugged. There's videos of 850 AP ninja not kiling a 650 dr zerker in a combo from one of the top guilds. You even give enemies attack speed buffs when u self buff on ninja. You're forced to roll to meta classes like zerker, valk ... .PA fucked up big.
@@akatsuki1929 You're not supposed to 1 combo anyone. That is bad for the game. The game was indented that you have to get consistent picks and have at least 2 full proper combos to kill. Thats the whole point of tank classes. The fact that you could 1 combo a valk/zerk is idiotic. No real competitive game ever had that crap. Tanky class have less damage in compensation they have more utility, and they are well tanky. They don't have the same eye frames and abilities in their kit. Thats just fundamentals of class diversity and class identity. The fact that you want to one combo anyone by just jumping on them grapple and full combo is just stupid. Where is the skill expression in that? XD. Yea if you vs a sorc they should be one combo able because they have eye frames same with ninja. But not valk or zerk they dont have those skills for a reason. They need compensation. The fact that you were able to do that is spoiled af. All you had to do is think about your repetitive combo and not about how the game actually works because you simply get rewarded for doing nothing. If you were truly a good ninja player, you would be able to land 3 full combos on them and kill them 1v1 before they can cc you one time. From what you are saying is evident you were being rewarded for playing badly and not realizing it. Now that you can no longer play badly you think the class is bad.
@@yushkovyaroslav It being bad for the game is just an assumption no fact. We have different opinions I guess. And If that was the case why are heals still so big? If i cant one combo a valk but the valk heals back up fully what do i do? Do I alt f4? And my ninja still dies to a valk cs they ruined the defensive scaling on ninja so fun. 750 gear score and useless class.
Edit: You saying ccing and comboing isnt skill is just telling me you are unexperienced and your opinion doesnt even matter to me anymore. Have a good one.
