Do you think it could be the Corydoras Toxin? I heard usually for big shipments you either loose a few, or almost all. You don't really get something like 70% survival.

This is not the case. While the bag is sealed co2 can not escape, and also the fish themselves produce co2. CO2 forms carbonic acid in water which drives the pH down. With a pH substantially lower than that of normal, all the ammonia the fish produces during shipping ionizes, or turns into ammonium, which is substantially less toxic, at least during the short time during shipping. Once the bag is opened however, the ph will rise and ammonia will spike rapidly. This is why fish that have been shipped are not acclimatised and are dumped straight from bag as soon as opened into aquarium. These Corys literally poisoned themselves. All Corys have a defence mechanism when stressed where the fish releases toxins as a defence mechanism. This works great in nature but is lethal to the fish in a confined space where the group of stressed fish all release the poison. It is not uncommon for people to get home after buying Corys and find they are all dead in the bag and this is the reason.The Corys in video should of been far less per bag in large a quantity as possible of water to minimise this possibility. I live in Brazil and have been in a store ( I dont know the name in english but it is the store who sells to the stores :p) with literally thouands of dwarf cory ( hastatus, not pygmaeus), unfortunatelly these corys are too fragile, the owner said to me that to be possible for him to sell 1 fish, 6 have died (just at his shop, not counting the ones that died between being captured and sold to him), they dont go well with long travels and tend to die very easy in the first days... so guys, try to not buy wild fish if possible, pigmy and dwarf corys are easely breed in aquarium.
I had pygmy cories breed in one of my tanks I was tearing down. I split the group in into two tanks (moved the substrate and filters to one tank, other was established). Long story short, all but 2 pygmy cories died in the second tank.
I bought 10 at my LFS and lost one a day till I only had two. I was so upset . But the two that lived had 3 more and one turned out to be another female. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Coreys just don’t ship well apparently they release a toxin into the water when stressed. So one fish in that bag could’ve taken out all of them. I know it’s a possible in these numbers but I always try to bag separately because of this very issue
Really sad. I love pgymy corydoras. I got 6 total. When i first introduced them in my tank, i havent seen half of it. Now i got 2 remaining. This hurts so much.
Not always. I bought a peppered cory with no pectoral fins. It had been in a tank with aggressive fish. It's almost 2 now and that fish is active and healthy and swims as good as the rest of them. Update: She has a bunch of babies. They are healthy and happy.
@@amandawitherspoon3988 I think what OP meant is for a pet store. Deformed fish can't be bred most of the time because they can pass on deformities. I say that as someone who will happily take any runts with deformities, but I do understand where they're coming from.
Wow. That many fish dead and that then died. Something is rotten at the supplier. Then the deformed fish issue. Time to switch to a reputable reliable supplier that isn't overcrowding and shipping sick fish. The big read notice on the boxes that Peces Vivos? is a member of the Ornamental Aquaculture Association of South Florida, is unusual.
I’m glad they made it right. It’s sad that a new vender would even think shipping that low of quality of fish to a new customer......I don’t get it. But glad they did the right thing.
My fish keep dying! A few are active and seemingly happy but then there a are a few that turn white, listless, then die! My water parameters are good and I feed them a variety of frozen brine shrimp, catfish pellets, and shrimp pellets. Anyone have any idea why they are dying?
You need to tell people that in shipping there is a possibility of dead fish that is why you don't buy 1 fish you buy extra just in case.like you said they are working out something that is a good supplier.
Wow, I can't believe you lost that many and had such issues with that company, so sad. As for your camera I think it was trying to focus on the water spots on the outside of the tanks.
Sorry about your loss I to had ordered fish from a online store and it was just horrible i lost about150.00 now I'm really skeptical about ordering fish from online my local fish stores are pet smart and petco no goog mom and pop stores 😑hope that person re reimburse you for them as for me I just chalked it up as i woun do it again🤔

My favorite shrimp fish, CHILI RASBORAS, first out of the bag! Excellent! Best fish in the world with shrimp. What a shame about the pygmy cories. I'm told they're a bit more delicate in shipping.
poor cherry barbs... would the deformed ones usually be culled? was this a case of a company trying to sell off every little pice to get max turnover and if they get caught then they know to not do it to you again? im glad they made it right to you but how many other customers that got deformed fish...
That really bites :( I hope you figured out the wood shipping costs, as I ordered a great wholesale price on Zoo-med wood, each "small" piece was over a pound, grrr. It would have cost me more to ship than what I would have charged, business lesson #120 learned!
Photo booths can be helpful. However, customized lighting for the product (using shadows), helps to define the shape and texture. I absolutely LOVE my cory cats. I'd be super sad too! They are such an amazing little fish.
You are very generous giving the shipper a second chance, most would not do it. I know you care very much about the welfare of your fish, I hope it rubs off on the careless supplier.
I just bought a fish tank, got one male betta and three cory catfish. Went to bed and the next morning all three of my catfish were dead. The tank was cloudy with white stuff floating around. Our Betta was pushed against the corner of the tank. Theres nothing i can do tonight so we have our betta in fresh preconditioned water in a deep clear bowl. I bought a fourth catfish and it died within hours. Any idea what could kill 4 fish? The water was preconditioned. We washed all of our decorations and gravel and i feel awful
cloudy water sounds like the tank wasn’t cycled, if the filter doesn’t have enough time (3+ weeks) to grow beneficial bacteria the water won’t be safe for any fish
First time watching one of your videos, and one of the biggest turn offs for me is when a youtuber asks me to subscribe before I have seen the video. Makes me not want to subscribe, how will I know if I like your content or not if we're not even 2 minutes in? Just some advice, save it for the end or close to the end

They are putting to many fish in each bag. Not enough oxygen for that many in one bag.
naa, the bags are additionally filled with pure Oxygen, usually enough for 2-3 days.
Cory's can produce a toxin. They probably killed themselves.
Plenty of oxygen if they used pure oxygen. Problem is ammonia and pH swings.

Y see the ammonia burning on the corydoras's gills. It happens with sudden changes of environment, you should look more into this

This would have been prevented if you didnt order so many at a time and made sure to split the group and group them in several separate bags.
Some cool nano fish are Badis Badis (Chameleon fish) and its cousin Dario Dario (Red Chameleon fish)

Nah the ammonia spikes really bad once you open the bags so you could do that but if they've been in there a while it can kill em
