common ..you make it look like the bridge will only last for a year or 2..my mother had a bridge for 25 years...if the bridge is properly done it can last a long long time
I had a bridge put in the top front left of my mouth a little under a year ago. My teeth have shifted so bad because of it that my bite has had to be adjusted 4 times and it's still not right. Now the bridge has become un glued on one of my teeth so now I'm going back this next week. This bridge is so uncomfortable that I think I'm going to ask for 2 crowns and a implant. I don't know what else to do.
Dentists always recommends fixed bridge over dental implant coz they know that you will be surely go back to them to refix the bridge. Fixed bridge has more disadvantage than dental implant. the gums tends to pull back due to bone lost after tooth extraction and it will make a gap between the false teeth and the gum itself. For me dental implant way too expensive but more practical than bridge coz its permanent and you will only do it once. but again, not all can be a candidate for dental implant. In order to have a dental implant, you must have a healthy and strong bones to support the screw and the false teeth. If you have unhealthy gums, it must be treated first and realigned to have a perfect fit of the dental implant tooth.
An implant is not permanent and you can have bone loss around an implant as well and then you will see the fixture/implant and even the screw threads sometimes and it looks really ugly from aesthetical point. This video doesn't show the problems you can have with an implant. Remember that en implant i static and doesn't have the spring system like a real tooth in your bone and the most common thing with a crown or a bridge on implant is fracture because of that and needs to be repaired (expensive) at some point. Compare it to a car, if you drive a car without a spring system and hit a bump the car is going to hit the ground very hard compared with a car with spring system. When you chew and bite the mouth/jaw hits with a big force, that's why you have a spring system in your real teeth so they don't fracture. In implants you don't have that. If you care about the teeth holding the crown or bridge it can stay there for a very long time. A had a patient 86 years old a couple of years ago and he got his bridge (gold/acryllic) when he was 40 something and still had the same bridge (the acryllic damaged at some places in the back - didn't bother him) but teeth still intact and no infections over the years. But also remember that gold has another surface structure than for example cobolt/chrome and the gold surface tends to keep clean if the patient is caring about his oral health. This video doesn't show the different complications you can have with an implant.
The costs would be a lot scarier. I had bone loss issues. As a result, I lost 4 molars 🦷. Before they can give me implants, I had to get gum surgery, get bone grafted then get teeth implanted. That costed me $60k 😱🤯. Protect your gum and teeth before it’s too late!
Basically, The implant is less risky, but more expensive while the bridge is cheaper, but less effective and the cost could eventually exceed that of an implant. There is also the problem that bridges can sometimes involve healthy tooths, which worsen over time whenever a new bridge is required. I always felt off with the idea of bridges and it took me over 7 months to finally save enough to get my two implants. Edit: My tooths were measured, and it was set to another business to create the tools specific to my implant, I paid all costs, and the dentist told me that they will call me once they arrive so he can implant them. They called me once it arrived and asked me to pay for "continuation fees for $500" which was not mentioned before, and made nonsense. I can't find information about a "continuation fee" related to dentists on all sites I have searched. And I truly don't trust the dentist to tell me the truth. Anyone?
Am 24 years old I had 2 missing teeth in the front so my dentist recommended me dental bridges with 4 supporting teeths so I have 4 teeths grounded 😭 since I didn't have enough bone to get implants done . Can I get implants now?
I think bridge is better then implant. Implant is derect pressure in bon there also bon lossing this is common thing. Bridge normally 20 years to go. Implant is very risk and future problem are came. I prefer bridge is good. This video marketing purpose. In case future implants better came to market that's time negative video games to aganest implant.
I have got bridge of 3 tooth last year and now ,tooth which had used for bridge are paining, got abscess , please suggest what i need to do ..dr Said to do root canal but i am scared .
so true. I just came back from the dentist with a set decision for a bridge even thought i know i'll have to get it replaced but he still try to convince me for that super expensive implant
The dentist makes money either way, no matter what you choose. But they are going to recommend the best treatment. You have to damage two natural, healthy teeth for a bridge, they don’t last as long, and they are harder to clean, which is why resorption and decay can happen.
@@IamHip exactly! I have an empty space where my tooth was pulled and just today the dental hygienist was recommended a tooth Bridge to save on cost but I can not allow myself to get my natural, perfectly healthy teeth to be permanently damaged for a bridge. Id rather save up and get an implant

Ok idk if anybody can give me advice. I have this exact issue, missing that exact tooth in between 2 good teeth. However, the dentist claims that I need the bridge to cover 4 (2 good, the gap, and the final good tooth) because it'd be more sturdy if i use an extra tooth, but in any case, my insurance wont cover the 4th tooth. Implants is the best alternative because you don’t need to encroach the adjacent teeth, it’s anchored to your jawbone which can preserve your bone structure, it’s designed to be aesthetically pleasing and reliable at the same time. BUT, it has complications. The cost is a thing you have to take into consideration, an implant is way more expensive than the bridge, then your body could potentially reject the implant though it depends on each individual’s situation, once implanting, it could potentially hit neighboring structures like the maxillary sinus (When you’re implanting the maxillary posterior region) and it could also hit your nerves there in your lower jaw (When implanting the mandibular posterior region) and this can lead to more procedures. If you manage to surpass these, good for you. In conclusion, an implant is better than a bridge, it has a higher success rate of 97% and it has a 3% failure rate. A bridge however has a 50% success rate and a 50% failure rate.
Well, I tried to ask kriss ai about this and it said that given your situation and the recommendation from your dentist, a dental bridge seems like a suitable option for you. It offers a good balance of aesthetics, functionality, and cost-effectiveness. But t's also worth considering dental implants as an alternative. Implants are more durable and do not affect adjacent teeth. However, they are more expensive and require a longer treatment time.
You need to have the same precautions as with any surgery. It´s important to check with your hematologist the platelets levels, as they need to be in a certain levels to perform the surgery safely.
Wow looks terrifying. I am getting my front left tooth done. I have a flipper, without the retainer its lasted 3 years. Now is decaying the dentist retired and did me a favor and just attached it to the nub that was left. I have a live nerve still to this day.And cant get no one to fix it because of the live nerve. They say Implant. And a root canal, which is 1500 dollars more on account of the live nerve. But can't they just pull it all out cheaper?
Did u do the bridge, I’m scheduled to have it done in 3 days, I have a removable for just one tooth as it’s uncomfortable I decided to have a bridge as I’m not a candidate for implant.
Ok, so I just got an estimate for 4 implants with no bone grafts necessary including restoration of the crowns after six months , whatever that means. I assume it means adjustments as needed or I guess it could mean that is when temp crowns come off and permanent ones are installed. Either way , the cost for 4 implants including post, abutment, and crown without bone grafts was around 24,000. I rarely see pricing and I think people need at least a ballpark figure. One dentist said I need a bone graft and one said I did not, I think it is worth getting two opinions as a bone graft is the cost of one implant so very important ti pay a small consult fee to avoid 1000’s for a bone graft that you may not need, not to mention healing time needed from bone graft which is 3-6 months , then there is a risk of it not even working.

You should get your case analyzed first. Check the amount of bone, status of your gums etc. Then if everything is healthy you may go with dental implants if the conditions necessary are present.
Pretty good vídeo but the idea is to sell the implant, of course is the best. However, the situation that you described with the dental bridge it only happens when the dentist does not trained the patient on how to take care, or the patient just didn't care the dental brush tecnique. Besides, it seems the dentist forgot the Angel Law.
Not true . A bridge has a 7-10 year lifespan and even with diligent cleaning, has to be replaced . When that bridge comes out it smells like a dead animal . It is really the worst thing , but only used because implants are so expensive. No one with money would opt for this solution otherwise .
Some people aren’t candidates for the implants as I found out. After breaking my jaw three years ago, two dead front teeth, then root canals but the teeth still got infected due to the trauma from the broken jaw, etc. I went to two different dentists and an endodontist and they told me I don’t have enough jaw bone that’s strong enough to take the implants. Implant freaks me out, knowing that screw need to be drill on your bones.

I have gap between 4 teeths in front, so i think bridge is better me, Dentist here is advising the same, please share your opinion as well
Well, I tried to ask kriss ai about this and it said that given your situation and the recommendation from your dentist, a dental bridge seems like a suitable option for you. It offers a good balance of aesthetics, functionality, and cost-effectiveness. But t's also worth considering dental implants as an alternative. Implants are more durable and do not affect adjacent teeth. However, they are more expensive and require a longer treatment time.

They say Implant. And a root canal, which is 1500 dollars more on account of the live nerve. But can't they just pull it all out cheaper?
What did you end up doing?
I just got a quote for $3000 per implant. Just shop around

Depending on the case it has its indications. We cannot recommend one or another if we don’t have a proper diagnosis.
So one procedure is a silver bullet? Too good to be true usually is not.
But the implant is expensive
Go to Turkey. Much cheaper and same quality
@@hA409 how much in turkey?
@@hA409 Any clinic recommended?
Implants is better but it's more expensive 😥😥😥
Every treatment has its indications, not everything works for everyone. A bridge done properly and in the indicated case can be a good solution.

More expensive than learning that even in your mother tongue questions end with a question mark.

@@beckygomez-beaster2828 omggg so expensive 😣
So which one is better? Can't you guyz just rather have a doc explain everything as the video plays?! Smh
Each case has its indications, and both can be good if used properly and in the indicated cases.

Implants are really popular with dentists. They must makes lots of money from it.
$3500 for each implant. take 3 to 6 months.
first 3 months - the bone grafth to be healed before the pin to be inserted
second 3 months - pin to be healed within the bone
then last 2 weeks - crown to be installed.
I have it done one
After ko mapanood itong video parang ayoko na ituloy yun pag install ng fixed bridge sa froont teeth ko.
Today they told me that the inplant will cost you Rs.1,50,000 Indian Rupees, in one of the Dental Colleges here in Bangalore, India.
