How should we understand when you say the Apocrypha is “part of the Old Testament” but “not scripture”? This is like saying my arm is a part of my body but it is not filled with the life of the body that it is integrated into. Perhaps you can kindly explain this from your understanding. My major point was that I don't believe the translators placed it between the OT and NT. King James in his Workes mentions Sirach as being OT. I recommend taking a look at the Bishop's Bible Table of Contents. Many of the reformers classified the Apocrypha books as scripture. Some were still on the fence though. Whitgift the previous Archbishop was very vocal about the Apocrypha being scripture.
