Im not saying that didn't happen but dang its hard to believe. You'd need to shoot 100 yards high i dont really know but im guessing. it would drop out of the air like a raindrop wouldn't it
I hit it in just a few shots, but the more impressive part about this is the consistency and grouping at 1000 yards. What the full video: th-cam.com/video/qJxnobqU3O0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_EvCks7Yh-_5pNUf
@@UpNorthAirGunner not to take from your shot but I don't believe in multiple shots as a success if you put a shot in the ground next to me I'm running for cover your not getting a bunch of chances so if it can't be done in three maximum it's only practice I'm looking for a rig that can give 1 moa at 200 yards consistently walk up set the gun done table/tripod and hit a 1" mark first shot not my fifth .
Totally agree, but with a little nuance. It is the reason the King of the 2 Mile guys are shooting at a plate that is more than 2 MOA in size. 60x40 inches. In your example of a 1 MOA gun (cold bore) that is a 2 inch(ish) target at 200 yards, The issue is the idea of a 1 MOA airgun beyond 100-200 yards (and 200 yards is pushing it) is statistically almost impossible in any kind of wind. Why? The statistical reality of shot dispersion with subsonic flight times. There are folks that will show you a 1 MOA group they shot at 200 yards once, but statisistics tells us that could be a 33% one time fluke shot group or 66% of the time probability and the other 33% of the time is a 2 MOA or larger group. That balloon was only 14-16 inches at 1000 yards which is only 1.5 MOA. The difference though of comparing a MOA rifle at 100 yards and 1000 yards is the flight time. At 4.6 seconds of flight time you can't predict all the things that can influence the flight of that projectile so the standard against which you would consider a "precision shot" also needs to go larger than the generally accepted MOA or better 100 yard rifle. Again, that is why the King of the 2 mile shooters and world record distance shooters are using targets larger than 1 MOA. The target size for the world record long-range rifle shot was 120 inches by 92 inches. At 4.4 miles, this made the target 1.54 MOA wide and 1.18 MOA tall. At 1,000 yards, this would be a target that is 15.4 by 11.8 inches. The record-breaking shot was made in Wyoming, where a team took 69 shots before hitting the center circle of the target. The target was 10 feet wide and 7 feet, 8 inches tall. The team said that hitting the center circle was like putting a bullet on a pinhead at 100 yards. Now scale this down to a projectile that starts off subsonic and stays subsonic for the entire flight path. It is all relative!
sorry but when you play chess you must press the clock with the same hand. so i think that this after market parts for fast reload should be banned for fast shooting.
I get what you're saying and the event could be ran where every shooter is using the EXACT same platform / design of airgun to compete. But.... A lot of the innovation in our industry comes from more of this "Open" format of bring whatever customized airgun you want to the event and run it. A lot of times this results in new products for consumers.
@@UpNorthAirGunneragree. Also makes it more fun. Just like car racing. When you start to limit everything kind of takes the fun out of it, really limits the creativity of people and products.
Yes to innovation but it still needs to be a competition, and any competition needs good rules, or you don’t judge skill but the fastest to find the hack. The gap here is so big that it’s obvious you have a big issue.
