If I was going to spend substantial money on a Bimmer, it would have to be a performance model. I also am not convinced on the looks of this one, sorry but no, unlike the Stelvio which IS DDG. My 2c.
Got my Tonale Veloce 160hp last week. In Alfa Rosso of course. I decided to skip the leather seats because the alcantara ones look way better (and there’s alcantara on the dashboard as well, with red stitching). I love this car!
Have the Tonale Ti MHEV 10 weeks now. Love it. Beautiful car inside and out and drives very well. Early days but averaging just over 46mpg which for this class of car is pretty good.Have the base 18 inch wheel option which keeps the ride comfortable. The steering on the higher trims is very light but thankfully the Ti spec is nowhere near as light steering which in my book is a big plus.
I could've gotten it through a company lease because of the cheaper "launch" Speciale edition. (If i didn't go for another car a year earlier before promotion). I still feel gutted that i didn't wait, because i've driven one out of curiosity (PHEV) and really loved the car, let alone the looks of it. It will be on my list for 2026 tho!
Got to say this looks way sexier than the Beamer, that grill is so ugly on BMW’s. Had my eye on this model, cos that Montreal green colour is THE coolest 😍 Thanks for review 🔥
Still holding off on full EVs just because so many chargers here in the US are broken, except for Teslas, but not interested in Tesla. So my choice is very limited, but the PHEV version of this SUV looks super promising!
Alpha has my favourite badge. My best friend(a Civil Engineer)always had Alpha Romeo Guilietas and replaced them every two years. The Alpha Tonale is a very good car at an affordable price.

I have the Speciale version with 20inch alloys plus all of the optional extras including leather seats with cool air vents that supplement the air conditioning perfectly. My fifth Alfa and why would anybody buy any of the overpriced German options? Only Alfa Romeo has the X factor
Grrr. The Tonale was developed by Alfa and then Stellantis allowed Jeep to use it for the Compass and undercut it price-wise. So the Jeep is an Alfa, not the reverse. Get your facts right!
@@CarSauce yeah but add the extras packs to get it closer in comparable spec to the Nissan and you're looking at an additional $11k comparing base models to other cars is what car companies want you to do so you're seduced into paying for the additional specs.
@@CarSauce yeah I was looking at the Ti with Lusso + tech + paint + Pano roof ... came to $65k. I've opted for the new Honda ZR-V instead even though Honda didn't put any panoramic sunroof option in which is a big disappointment but the car drives really nice. And the Honda E:Hev is a true hybrid plus the quality and low service cost convinced me it was the better option.
@@CarSauce Ti is a wise choice, have the Ti spec 10 weeks now. More comfortable ride (18" wheels) and the steering is much better IMO (super light steering on the Veloce when i test drove it).Was concerned that on Ti no adaptive suspension but suspension is just fine thankfully..no issues at all.The Matrix headlights are a real game changer for me ...gives you so much confidence at night especially on country roads. The difference in my previous cars is unreal..i tend to keep the selector in N as happy with performance and ride quality so no need to change for me.

Having driven both the Ti, Veloce and Veloce with Lusso pack - the difference is not 11k noticeable… would highly recommend going Ti!

i get why alpha is being watered down, i just think its disappointing that their cars are becoming mainstream and boring.
