I'm an endless tinkerer with some ships looking for that elusive build and commander setup to make them work. It seems to be torpedo focussed where as the german DD line (which I like) are more hybrids. So I try and think, do I look for a build that enhances the weakness (guns etc) OR instead look at improving the strengths (boost torp speed and damage). It's funny how WG was accused of making campaign reward ships to be OP but lately they seem to be going the other way? There's been some that were quite ordinary, and lately I haven't been playing campaigns.

I like to agree and disagree with the opinion sometimes because I have had consistently good games in ships usually deemed low class by most lol. A friend and I were talking, and we came to the moral agreement that we were going to pass the ship by. Even if it comes into the store, I'll sell it off because its shit. Or better yet, I'll just leave it in the store for eternity without bothering to buy it. I rather buy the Elbing over the Z-44. I like the fact you were using some of the Mighty Jingles' terms, "Thinking and breathing". Everyone is getting influenced by him.

I was thinking of running a full torpedo reload build, see if I could force it into a more pan-european playstyle since the reload could be heavily reduced, especially with epic and legendary mods. Fishy and tyrwhit for inspirations. I gotta see what the math works out to be. Awesome honest video, keep it up❤
Have you tried a full concealment, torpedo reload build with Von Spee, with surface venture and back in stock and just spam away. I mean Yudachi levels of concealment should be quite nice...GGs. I know hitting torpedos is not your strong suit, but everyone is a main in something.
6:30 another great example of what makes DDs OP in this game. You were able to rush this battleship and completely destroy him from full HP. DDs need massive nerfs in this game.
The Germans who was known in WWII for Submarine and Torpedoes. Has an average Torpedo in game and there HE on Cruiser and Destroyer are pretty sub par. It’s like a woodpecker at a tree that pecks away slowly. No devastating hits. If I want to play a torp boat I’ll play IJN. It’s frustrating to get boats that don’t perform well. I’m not talking OP but to atleast hold it’s own with current ships out.

Not knowing how the ship would fare i already thought it was weird to see an older design with even older guns at tier 8, the description even says its a Z-36, why the 2 tiers higher, its like imagine you get JB, Vanguard and Iowa, wich are by far the 3 most advanced BBs ever a tier below a Soyuz, its dumb right ?

German DDs are build for AP, and the Z-44 is a Torp DD. At the point where she was leaked i watched PC Gameplay, and surprise shes there trash aswell. At the end of day, i pay for the goodies mostly the ship is just the Cherry at the Top. But this time a bad tasting cherry.
German 128mm HE has lousy damage? Who knew? It's a campaign ship. When it grossly underperforms over time (and it will), it will get buffed. How willing to wait you might be is a question, but campaigns are worth it for the stuff you get during the campaign. The ship is usually just gravy. Thin off-the-shelf gravy in this particular case.

I totally agree that matchmaking is f°cked , however if wargaming do do the 50 percent thing it will screw players like me over even more as I believe I’m below 50% due to inconsistent skill base .
@@Derpitz96 In a week? If you’re that new to the game (have such few games played) that such big shifts in WR is possible, then your WR don’t say much to begin with. Wait until you’re up to 5000 Standard games or so. By then your WR will be a lot more stable and a better indication of how you’re performing.

My face watching CCs for years complaining about German 100-120 mm HE 😑 its the same face I make listening to bad DD players crying about German DDs without hydro. I'll check it out myself with a pure torpedo concealment build, no overthinking and meme commanders and I'll worry about the guns about as much as IJN DD player does but with 8k more HP and half the reload time if I do need to use them with a 30-40 second faster torp reload, with torps that have a kilometer better concealment

The ZF6 was "bad" at launch too because of the "HE DPM and lack of Hydro" Its a pure torpedo boat most not just you have reviewed as a gun boat or comparing its torp stats to the Yudachi, again, not just you. All I'm saying is when almost every opinion is "it's not a good gunboat" all I got is "no sh*$, really!?"
I wanna say the biggest thing I've found to help your team win is game chat. I would say 99.9% of players don't use it and everyone should. The "new" players have very little map knowledge. I struggled with map knowledge for a long time because the lower tier maps go away at higher tiers and with 6 spawn locations, the map you just played can look completely different at a different spawn. Not only that but it's not enough to "know" your ships guns. You have to "know" ship armor schemes. So if you're new, get on game chat and ask for guidance on positioning or target selection. And if you're a veteran player, GET ON CHAT, and help coach your team through the game. I dont like to see the community blame new players for being new when those complaining never tried to help. I get in chat every match now, I would like to see more people do this.......and you gonna get in chat, being a dick doesn't help anything.
The Z 46 at T8 is much better so not sure the why on this. WG obviously has a script on ships to release but if they would listen it would be better. Ok, so lets take the JB for example. Why cant we all have JB;s ? Would a full blown ruckus of JBs going at it not be fun? No lets submit lack luster ships that dont hit and we are at a loss. So are they

I love these ships. Hard to master potential buff in the future. I really play these types of ships the most. A good ship isn't as fun to me.

The ship was designed to be an ijn style km bote. It’s meh on pc , was meh in testing , is meh in game. This is actually the buffed version 😂

That's not a full concealment torp build. Von Spee is the way. But the ship looks meh.
You might get what 10 extra seconds off the torp reload? Not going to save it
