Olafur is today’s best composer. he hears the piece as a true whole. He’s one of the only people that can play 3 notes or a simple chord progression and it effects your soul.

There is something about Ólafur Arnald's music that just makes me feel different, especially this song. It's a lonely, almost sad feeling, but it's so peaceful. It invokes deep thought within me. This is one of my favorite songs. Thank you, Olafur, for you're music. It's one of a kind.

On this mooit night I sit alone, I feel the breeze and hear the wind rush through the trees. Lonely? a bit for a moment, then the moment passes, only to repeat itself over and over again. I am capable of feeling grief l, pain, Love and sorrow. Within there is hope, jn my weeping there is laughter and memories I carry. They belong to me.

For me, it's rare to associate a place and a feeling so deeply with a specific song, but this one does it for me. Earlier this year, I visited Lençóis Maranhenses, in my country-it looks like a white desert, but with many pools of accumulated rainwater. One day, we watched the sunset from the top of a dune, with one of the largest pools at our feet. After the sun went down, we waited for most people to begin their descent, and once they had gone, we started our one-hour walk back to the car. The sky began to blend shades of orange, pink, blue, and yellow. Behind us, there was no one-just a peaceful, untouched landscape of dunes and water. You could only hear the sound of sand underfoot, rippling water, and the wind gently shifting the grains. By the end of our walk, we had witnessed the subtle transition from day to night under a star-filled sky. When we finally got back to where we were staying, this was the first song that came to mind, perfectly reflecting what I had felt in that moment.
