Then you've definitely heard him on skits as The Mad Rapper, one of the funniest on Notorious B.I.G. life after death skit leading into "Kick In The Door".
Shout out to D Ferg 🙏🏾RIP, met Ferg at a Barber shop when I lived off of Lennox Ave. Brother was solid. Told him about my exploits, we were good from there. He was gonna design me a Tee.
If I'm not mistaken that Himalaya ride at Coney Island that they're talking about had a sound system installed by Mr Richard Long who also installed the sound system for Paradise Garage, which later ended up at Sound Factory Bar. Richard Long was a master sound system engineer, maybe the best ever.🤓🎚️🎛️🎶
37:33 I swear, just just dropped everything to write this. BIG is my favorite MC; heard'em all, from Sugarhill Gang up. With that said... I've *ALWAYS* wondered who's *DUMB ASS IDEA* it was to switch the beat up on BIG's part on Benjamins--one of THE dumbest decisions in hip hop history, in my opinion 💔 Got love for D Dot...I can't believe it was HIM 🤦♂️🤦♂️ I'd assumed it was Puff all this time. Track he'd switched it to was pure garbage next to that hard Benjamins track...ugh🤦♂️ Love that record, but I don't even listen to BIG's verse...that's how terrible that music sounds to me. THE poorest decision ever👎👎
@SoulOfTheSouth I *H A-T E-D* (and still hate!) that part 👎👎😂 D meant well 🙏... However, that change-over beat was *nowhere close* to being as dope as the Love Unlimited sample ✋️😑 The potency of the tracks/beats were NOT compatible...and they should've been 💯 I'm still shocked to learn that D-Dot was the guilty culprit 😄
I fuck with D Dot but a manager is not a boss of an artist, he worked for Mary and she can fire you which she did lol but D Dot is an incredible producer 💥
Dope interview, our generation is the best!
Dope interview!
Lowkey I always wanted to hear BIG's verse over the Benjamin instrumental, I never liked when the beat switched at the end, but I get it
I've seen his name on a lot of Bad Boy albums
Then you've definitely heard him on skits as The Mad Rapper, one of the funniest on Notorious B.I.G. life after death skit leading into "Kick In The Door".
In that 1997 era
