Guess it was just not my thing. Went on a Nile cruise and loved it, visiting all the sights. I'm more of an adventure girl and hated so many days at sea on Azura. Might give it one more try but don't think it will change my overall view, but thanks. Glad you love it.
Looks good! Just wondering not that i have anything against the more senior people but it seems the Azura caters more for the older generation? Not that im saying you look old , just the people in general from you video. Dont want to really be stuck with Ball room dancing type of entertainment all the time for music. Also when docking at ports how far away are most of main tourist things to see? Did you book these on board or back at home before leaving? Thanks
sempei58 Hi. We're not fans of ballroom dancing either and there was very little that we were aware of, just a bit in the Atrium in the evenings. Plenty of other places to go. We used to watch a show and then go to Manhattan bar which always had a live act. Lots of young people on board but not many children as it was term time. I would say Azura appeals to traditional tastes rather than old. We don't like loud and brash and we enjoy dressing for dinner on the black tie nights which is why we picked P & O. We're certainly not "fuddy duddies" lol and had lots of fun. We booked the Rome excursion before we left to ensure we got what we wanted as it was a fair way from port, Gibraltar we booked on board but everywhere else we did our own thing and got on very well. Love the ship and looking forward to this year's hol. We've even booked the same cabin! Hope this helps :-)
I hated every second of my cruise on Azura. It was like being in Gods waiting room soooooo boring. Then to top it all loads of people went down with vomiting etc, gross. The staff were lovely and service excellent . could not stand the snobbery of some of the passengers very OTT. Would not bother doing another cruise ever.
Another great presentation Lyn. I see you both love traditional cruising as much as we both do. Roll on A624 !
Thanks Bob. You're absolutely right, we love cruising with P&O and for us, roll on A626.
