Today, we shed light on Top Shelf Kicks, a diamond-in-the-rough shop, that, not only houses a wide variety of shoes but also showcases and sells one of the largest vintage basketball collections of memorabilia we've ever seen. Genuine energy is rare in the vintage wear/sneaker community now. Seems like everyone is just looking to outdo or finesse others so seeing this was definitely a breath of fresh air. I've debated plenty of times giving up the whole sneaker scene and selling all my shoes because it feels too artificial and competitive now. Good to know it's still some genuine folks out here who do it for their own passion and not hype or a price tag. Salute!

I never comment on vids but I had to on this one. I’ve met Aaron twice & he’s as real as this video advertises. I’m from NJ & my boy took me to Top Shelf to sell some kicks last summer. I sold my ‘07 aquas, 07 playoff 8s, & ‘07 low i.e. 11s. I also ran into him in line @ Foot Locker this past spring for da air max 97 gold. Real humble, cool & down to earth guy. Good to see his hard work paying off.

Easily one of the the best sneaker stores in the entire country. The owner really has been into sneakers and basketball since the 90s/early 2000s and was on that sneaker collecting shit wayyyy before it became big part of popular culture. I promise you that this guy has been doing this for way longer than your favorite hypebeast sneaker store owner. That’s why Topshelf is different from all these other spots

It's not just the mom and pop stores, your local foot stores were bad before. Recently, they've been able to hire people that are into the sneaker culture and know their stuff.

I think most of these places, the people don't talk because a) they may not actually know sneaker culture as well as the customer or b) sometimes they are just awkward and don't know how to talk to people. It's nice that he owns his own shop and it's his passion.

I’ve been to this store multiple times and the owner is the greatest dude ever. Nothing he said in this video was a lie. He really does help out us kids with good prices and taking shoes we want to sell off of our hands even if they aren’t the most hyped. They will back door your kicks in a heartbeat just so they can get more money out of it. It's disgusting what the sneaker culture is at the moment. It really has more people Buying rep/UA since it really is the smarter choice at the end of the day. If you are gonna wear your shoes, and not resell them like other noobs, then UA's or buying from genuine people the best option in 2021.
