    I love your nails and your tutorial! My nails are just as short as yours. Don’t care for long nails on me! Questions: How does the Double sip topcoat hold up to wear and shine? Thanks again ❤️

      Thank you! The top coat holds up well, very shiny!

    This is the best step-by-step video I have seen. Thank you for making this video. I have a question though why did you put the second layer of activator and then wipe it off? What is the purpose of the second application?

    • @manisbykaitie824

      I’m so glad you enjoyed this video, happy it was helpful! The purpose of the second activator is too help your top coat apply properly and dry.

    hi katie ... love your video - dip for beginners - it was SO helpful!!! do you have a video on how to correctly remove the dip from nails when you want/need to change the color?

      I’m so glad you found my video helpful, I’m so sorry for the late response. I do have a video on my channel for removal, it’s 2 minutes long. However, make sure you buy 100% acetone and not the blue soak off shown in the video, they changed the formula and it no longer works to soak off dip.

    Your finished nails look beautiful. Very clean. The color is so pretty. This was a great tutorial. Thank you. I am currently wearing my first (and pretty sloppy) dipped nails. I will use your tutorial tips when I do my next set.

    Did you dip your lint free cloth into the rubbing alcohol to take the activator off or just a plan dry lint free cloth?

    • @manisbykaitie824
      @manisbykaitie824  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just used a clean lint free cloth to wipe the nail off after activating. Some do use a swipe of alcohol though.

    Love your videos! Very easy to follow your steps. Would it be possible to have the back ground music turned down a little. It's hard to follow what you're saying sometimes. It drowns you out. Thank you again for taking the time to do your videos :)

      Thank you, I’m glad you find them helpful.
      I’ll have to look into having the background music turned down a bit- thank you for that feedback. I use it to cover up background noise from my dogs, hubby, kid, etc. 🤣
      **update- I figured out how to turn the background music down, I’ll try to remember to do that for my next video. 😊

      I actually have a video on my channel that shows how to remove your dip. Just make sure you buy 100% acetone.

    I loved your video! very helpful! One tip I have is to use PRETTY DIVA no-wipe UV Gel clear topcoat and cure it for 60 seconds under a UV / LED lamp

      I have tried gel top coat in the past but most brands usually start to chip away. I do have one now that I love that works well for me!

    How to safely remove dipcoat polish?

    • @manisbykaitie824
      @manisbykaitie824  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a video on my channel for removing dip nails 😊
      Just please note- don’t use the blue soak off, use 100% acetone- the blue stuff doesn’t work anymore because they changed the formula.

    Why is my top coat drying patchy?

    • @manisbykaitie824
      @manisbykaitie824  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You may not be using enough or you may be getting it on too thick in some spots and it’s not drying thoroughly.
      After rinsing your hands with water…
      - activate a second time
      - wait about one minutes
      - wipe nails well with lint free cloth
      - do a thin layer of dip top coat (one hand) using 2-3 swipes across the nail
      - then go back and do a more thorough second coat (but still keep it thin)
