    Machine fabuleuse, j'en ai possédé une en 1971. On roulait à l'époque comme des fous avec ces engins. Maintenant je roule en BMW 1250 gs . Ça été une très bonne machine cette Kawa 500 pour apprendre à piloter. Il n'y avait pas de frein et de frein moteur, ça se tortillait en courbe et on allait quand-même très vite.
    Mon rêve, en posséder une à nouveau et la même en bleu.
    Bravo pour cette magnifique moto.

    Only just seen your video - I bought the exact same bike new NGF 57 K in 1972 had it for a year before I moved on to a new Honda. I enjoyed it but the front drum brake wasn't that good and it vibrated quite a lot at higher revs plus it was pretty thirsty - under 25 mpg at times. I bought a new RG 500 in 1986 which was a great bike. Congrats on a fantastic restoration.

    Great restoration! In 1971 when I was 18, this was my 2nd motorcycle. I'm curious about a few things..my motorcycle in USA had CDI ignition. Why do English bikes have points? Is the points engine case stock? Is it the same as the early 1969 H1 engine case that had CDI in USA? Is the inside (back end) of it open or is there a rubber grommet for it? Just curious! Always up for learning more about H1's & H1A's!

    • @mcmechanic864
      @mcmechanic864 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Apparently we had points ignition in the UK because electronic ignition interfered with televisions and suppressor plug caps could not be used with electronic ignition.
      So we had points ignition that could be used with suppressor caps.
      The casing is different altogether on the uk bike, no rubber grommet because completely different.
      Hope that helps. PS I’ve seen your videos… doing a wheelie etc …excellent

    💥 Why Is This a Rare UK Bike?💥

    • @mcmechanic864
      @mcmechanic864 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Because most of the ones you see now (probably 95%) are imported from the US and have electronic ignition, it was only the UK that had points ignition like mine, hardly any about 🙂

  • @markbrandon7359
    @markbrandon7359 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    That must be a late model 1971 because it should have electronic ignition only the 1972 had points.

    • @mcmechanic864
      @mcmechanic864 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it is actually a 72, I think I said 71 on the video because most of these blue "A" models were. Most were imported from America an came with electronic ignition.
      People associate the 72 as the orange H1B 🙂

      @@mcmechanic864 Have you tried repacking them with fiberglass? The end caps should screw off and you can pull out the silencer section wrap as much fiberglass as you can and stuff it back in, The bike runs smoother with more back pressure.
