Awesome! I’ve noticed a lot of mechanics are into rcs. We used to have a local paintball shop and range however they closed down. Fun hobby I used to paintball in middle school.
Yessir let's go man now I'm wanting another rc I used to race years ago I ran pan cars and legend cars 🏁💯🔥 but I been wanting to try the dirt track racing
Awesome! Rcs are so much fun! I myself have never really raced much it looks like soo much fun! I would definitely see what your local track runs and go from there. We don’t really have much rc racing in the areas for dirt. We do have a 1:18 scale track for Losi mini but we can’t run them in the winder due to rain etc…
@@pablosgarage707 we have a indoor carpet oval and a out door asphalt oval a dirt oval a dirt off road course a asphalt road course/ drift and the hobby shop is right beside the tracks probably one of the nicest places I know of for RC racing
They sure are fun. I agree definitely expensive! Luckily rv is the only thing that has gotten "cheaper" over the years. Today’s cars cost around the same as the old ones did but they perform much better and are way more durable! I myself own a few old Tamiya cars and they are definitely fun!
I have an excellent recommendation. You should get him the Arrma Mojave Grom BLX. It is super fast. However you can turn a switch on the back of the remote and make it only go half power so he can learn to drive it. Once he gets comfortable driving it you can turn it to 75 percent power or 100 percent power. At full power it will run 35 miles an hour. At half power it will do around 22. They also have a gyro system which helps keep the truck driving straight. They are durable and easy to drive and work on. Best of all they are fairly inexpensive at around 230$ battery and charger included. If you really interested in getting him one. I'd say the arrma vortex. On Amazon for about 175 to 200. Comes with everything. Can upgrade as he progresses his driving skills
really interesting video guys, I wanna get into RC now lol
Thank you! This hobby is so much fun! I highly recommend it. However be cautious because like tools it can get very addictive and expensive fast 😂
we were big time into rc cars when I was wrenching! then we moved on to paintball. still have all the stuff from both hobbies
