Jos, I recognise the places, born at Charing Cross - before the motorway and was regular dragged up and down Maryhill Road and along Sauchiehall Street with my Mother.
    Great phots, great memories.

OK then...I'll give ye a go...Left Glasgow 1978...New life in Canada...Was back last September for my belated 70th birthday gift......Loved it, had the best time, and felt I had never left in some ways....Glasgow is what I left, it never left me....Look forward to seeing what captures get to me.....Emotionally, I am finding it hard to not get tearful after that visit....Canada is wonderful..but you work to get established, and life is different., but overall, will never regret the move...Glasgow, on return felt like a stronghold, resolute, laughter, as remembered, helpful people, and the modern ways were eye opening to say the least....The city waits for no man....Now you have 167 subscribers...Good luck with your ideas

I show old photos of Glasgow to my Mum and she comes alive with stories of her childhood. Last week I showed her a picture of a tram and she said by the shape it’s a No23, I was astounded when I zoomed in and she was right. I didn’t even know they came in different models.
