What true Journey fan would want anything less than someone who is in the arena of Perry vocally? I just discovered journey a few months ago but I already knew many of their songs years ago but never got a chance to check who the singer was, I was just content and enjoying those beautiful songs. One day I watched TH-cam and there I saw the titles of those songs and that’s the only time I knew the name of the singer which is Stephen Ray Perry. I watched all the songs in TH-cam over and over again, even at work on my break time I just cannot have enough of this angelic voice. Then one day, I saw that Journey has a new singer, I did not know at first that he is a Filipino. I just listened to the song that he was singing and I was so amazed how Steve Perry and Ariel Pineda has the same voice. I closed my eyes, and I can never imagined that the one singing that song “ Don’t Stop Believin’ was not Steve Perry, he is that good. From then on, I got hooked and obsessed listening to Journey, whatever song I listened to is an absolute satisfaction. I watched Arnel’s family background, his life experienced as a little boy, his struggles in life up to how he was discovered by Neal Schon. It was really an amazing and unbelievable Cinderella story, that probably happens once in a lifetime. I am very, very proud of you Arnel….I am a very proud Filipino. You made our country became well known and proud kudos to you…..continue carrying that Filipino blood of yours wherever you go, that beautiful heart of yours will attract many friends, young and old, black or white all over the world. God bless you and all your love ones, especially the whole gang of Journey. I hope Journey will keep performing even if you’re all seniors, I’m sure the world won’t mind, I absolutely don’t. Wow Arnel Pineda with Journey doesn't cease to amaze me, he is a beast on stage. I only discovered this video this Oct 2022. This was performed in his early years in the band, performing in front of a huge crowd. All those songs are with really high pitched notes. Just electrifying to watch and that soaring voice!! The whole band is on fire lol. Best wishes Journey and Arnel Pineda.
For me his best concert was in Vegas 2009.in there he made the microphone stand performed with him.in wheel in the what an amazing performance too.until now i didn't see him do it in his other concerts.my respect to you Arnel❤
It's the end of the year 2022 but still watching AP's YT concerts . He is so incredible performer at his age now he's so amazing. I' m 68 yrs old avid fan since I discover him in YT. I always include him in my prayers for his safety, his family and all band members. ❤❤❤

I say that if Steve Perry was never discovered and played for Journey ....and instead Arnel Pineda made the band after Greg Rollie, I think Journey maybe would have had made it through somehow ....but then again the magic was the CAIN/PERRY songwriting !!! That says it all !! Is not only the pipes is the songwriting capability, and that completes the full circle !!!

Again Im amazeD. Speechless. Arnel is not losing breath, he is a master of voice control. !4 tracks of pure strength, no auto tune. The Revelation album was nominated as Album of the Year and stayed on the top charts for weeks., Platinum certified. So Im very happy that Arnel became the comeback frontman and started with a bang. I just hoped that they would include After All These Years and Never Walk Away, and City of Hope in the new tour, which has not been played for some time, These songs are Arnel's song"s not Perry's. So the haters has nothing to compare from. For this performance , I'm enjoying the harder tracks because of the versatility of his singing in these difficult range but which just seems so easy to him. Rubicon, Ask the Lonely Wildest Dream, Edge of the Blade, Chain Reaction, One More, Wheel i the Sky, Separate Ways. The extended version of Dont Stop Believin and Anyway You Want it should be brought back i guess its a real deal closing song ending up with everyone on a high and all pumped up. Faithfully has always brought me tears.

I only got to see all your pre-journey and current concerts and I must say that you are ONE HELL OF A GEM found by Neil after more than 25 years of struggle in your singing career. I was like, WOW! this guy could sing lead vocals for Journey. Then I searched more videos from you and, THERE YOU ARE!, already the lead singer for Journey. I didn't know until then. LOL.
Seen Arnel the first time when I was a Marine back in 89 in olongapo, Philippines. Me and my buddy used to go watch him in a club there every night. He was awesome.

Most people who replaced Steve Perry were awesome .This guy also .But a Filipino guy did the best .of them all ..I heard 5 replacement and 4 were great but one I rate a big zero.

Most people who replaced Steve Perry were awesome .This guy also .But a Filipino guy did the best .of them all ..I heard 5 replacement and 4 were great but one I rate a big zero.
