The only negatives are the person sharing will only be able to use their user on their console to play their games; any other user on their console would not have access. The other downside would be the user who is getting the shared games would be at the mercy of the person sharing. So if the sharing user disabled console sharing the user getting the games would have all those games locked on their console. To answer your second question, save data is linked to the user so all progress should be saved and if you buy the game that was shared your data will transfer over

@@tommylopez7185 I was being sarcastic but I actually did figure it out. When you go to add the account with the game you want onto the console make sure you add the user to the console permanently, don't do one time user, pick the option that should say "get started" on the left. Then you should be able to enable the game sharing feature in settings while still logged in on that user.

I figured out how to do it
Add a brand new user to ps5
Then go to the profile of it and sign into your friends account through that and then u should be chilling
