JSU=trumpets and trombones. When they are at their best they are untouchable. Those two sections (and also the drum line and woodwinds) are what made them “the boom.” The trombones have never fallen off (they are always consistently the best trombone section) but the trumpets had some rocky moments from about 2014-2021. But now they are back!! It’s hard to beat the boom when the trumpets are ON!!!
Little and Band Staff always paid tribute to the previous seasons. I hope they play Father Stretch my Hands in ‘26. ‘16 was an underrated year. #LuvDaBoom

Band camp will be SERIOUS WORK this summer, so young people (primarily first-year students), have your priorities straight and be prepared to work because whatever SWAC band you represent is NO JOKE!
