I have a Skar LP750.1D pushing 2 Skar EV12 shallow subs. The whole setup doesn't take up a ton of space in my hatchback and sounds awesome! Glad to see you doing a real world test of the bigger brother to the amp I have. I've been extremely happy with my LP750.1D!

Dear Steve, instead of just a dyno, why not create a torture test for amplifiers. do the dyno then make it run for an hour or more at full power. You could use a small generator instead of batteries. Just an idea.

Good alt and batt dont mean shit to these newer cars cause of RCV. Regualted charging voltage is regualted by the ECM therefore its not easily manipulated. Resting voltage is usually 13.8v.
@@BassheadGTP Add alt that's higher voltage and turn it down. My Dad use to Run CB radios and had 1200 watts I remember it pulling 150 amps of power and voltage would go down. So he took two 8 volt batteries and put two together to make 16 volts and Knew the Liner could take up to 18 volts he hook up a 24 volt Alt and had this big ass knob that turn down that amps and voltage to 18.3 volts to charge those batteries 16 volts and push his liner over to 1500 watts and talk around the world. If you keyed down no one could talk. It was the first power that made True trolling possible. Who every Rig was stronger shut's down anyone else with in a state. lOl ,First trolls ever!

I'm positive it would not do rated at 14.4 unfortunately the test Steve did was with the voltage at a constant 14.9 which is very suspect considering most Dyno videos as soon as the test starts the voltage immediately starts dropping unlike this test.

Yeah, at 14.9v. At 14.4v, it was prob atleast 30 watts overrated. Real world, prob be 70 watts overrated. Still not bad numbers compared to other manufacturers "claimed" ratings.
Fosgate4Life a sound quality amp will supply very clean power. They usually run about a $1 per watt. SPL amps tend to do whatever it takes to get the wattage they are going for. Internal power supplies suffer. This leads to dirty power. THAT'S THE DIFFERENCE!

I know it made it's rated power but for that price of $129.00 it makes anybody wonder if it's a high quality amp, and for how long it would last pushing it to it's rated power in a car sound system!!!! I guess you have to be familiar with these amps to know what they are really made of and what they can do!!! For the purpose of a give away, a thousand watt amp is not bad at all!!! Bat Man Big D Wiz did one on the Rockville RXD-M4...it made its power but they're not reliable, not built well. Do some youtube searches... they have caught on fire in high power builds. They blow FETs easily. The solder joints on the boards are shoddy. I had an M5 that smoked after a week, got it replaced under their warranty and haven't used the new one. Their new models of monoblocks are all 2 ohm stable instead of 1 ohm, leading some to speculate that the older amps couldnt handle the one ohm load they said they could...that's why they changed to 2 ohm load minimum.

This would be a great upgrade from my cheap 900w amp that the ground was melted on so I'm grounding it by the chassis not a good idea but whatever keeps bass in my car

should still do right around 1,000 still. Maybe 990 in certified but probably still 1,000 in uncertified....certainly in dynamic RMS (real music). 14.4 is stout electrical no need to upgrade if you are holding that.

Alt may run 14.2-14.4 then drop to 12's for no reason (without radio or ac on) Last H.o alt I got was a dc power..........been awhile back so I will have to check to see who still makes a good alternator. That's the whole point of the dyno test. Certified test cuts off at 1% THD, so its not measuring distorted power

Dirty power only comes from a clipped signal, thus creating a distortion. This has been proven time and time again.

I've had the Rockville RXD T2 for a year and a half still running good.
