When the vibe changes, the results change. I think it's more likely that he will have a much better season just for that reason, and look at what Ken was able to accomplish under the same circumstances. Also mad props to him for not throwing down the towel and retiring too.
The difference with Kenny is that he left Honda on his own accord and purposefully went around trying the different bikes. Ferrandis just straight up didn’t have a ride. Im glad he’s racing though and found a place where he can be happy. Hopefully he can turn around his SX results around, but he did decent in Outdoors, he had a couple races where he showed heart and was pushing it, unfortunately we care a bit more about SX than MX in America.
Im surprised at how much a vibe change helps some of these guys' ala Ken. And also you can take Eli, who looked done at Kawi, mental-wise. Then he started talking to press more and riding great once he got out from under whatever was bothering him at Kawi.@@MuskCow
They had a bit about that in Racerhead last week. Sounds like HRC builds him a works bike and rolls it out under the Phoenix tent. He works with Ziggy from factory direction for suspension. So should be a great bike I think. Less salary than Star or joining HRC I guess, but probably his plan is to make that salary gap up in bonuses by having a bike that he likes more and gives him a better shot at landing on the box
It’s cool to hear his honest review of the feel of the bike. I think next season he has nothing to lose and his French finesse compliments the nimble Honda
Just haveing less pressure for a while can do wonders. At the factory teams the pressure has to be insane when the results aren't what they're supposed to...
Glad we're gonna continue seeing you at the races Dylan. Love your riding style and late race charges. Now let's put it to those HRC boys (and all the other factories) and show them what they missed out on!
not sure i want to see him beat Our Aussie boys on the HRC all the time, but giving them something to think each week would be a great thing; Dylan deserves much better than what he got from Yamaha after his phenomenal Championship year when he roosted all the big names; if Jett or Hunter can't do it, then hopefully Dylan will.
How does the Honda fit him better after only seeing him on it for a few minutes on a smooth track? At the end of the season he was starting to get healthy and rode the Yamaha like he has for years. He said he helped with the 23 yz450 and said it was so much better than the 22 which was the same as 21 he won on. But got hurt several times and then blames the bike he help develop that Tomac was smoking everyone on. Plus Tomac won on the 22. Both completely new bikes back to back for Tomac..
