JT I just heard what you said about losing your Dad and goin to the Savage and in this world of TH-camrs and people in general commercializing trout fishing and fly fishing in particular, your comments about the inner peace that you get when fishing were profound and welcome. I just lost my Dad and my wife of 36 years passed 6 months ago. My buds have gotten me out and fishing which has always been one of my passions and you are right. It heals the heart. I’m on my way to the Gunpowder. Keep fishin brother

Sorry for your loss. The outdoors are very healing whether fishing, hunting or just going for a hike. I’ve always wanted to fish the savage, I’ll put it in my list along with the Potomac

Thanks Steve. I wish more people understood how good the outdoors is for mental health. Appreciate your comment.

Awesome fish. I’m heading there this weekend with my brother. I’ve fished the savage a hand full of times and haven’t landed a brown yet from this stream. I’m hoping this trip will be different.

Nice fish you weren’t lying when you said you were heading out. Sandy’s cousin fishes there all the time especially in the lake

Quality not quantity on that river Bob. I think I enjoyed the smaller brook trout. I like fishing the Savage more in the spring and summer. Dry flies

I didn't realize that bridge is actually a suspension bridge until I got on it and wondered why I suddenly felt drunk.

Pretty sure there are two suspension bridges on the Savage. Hopefully I get back there this summer.
