Yes! Brilliant review!! I knew you’d like it. I don’t particularly enjoy or seek out animalics but in The Lovers Tale I think that glorious iris / suede feel plus the gourmand elements absolutely hooked me, although it took a few wears before I fell in love. I think FB is a sorceress.
Another wonderfully evocative review Ben. I've found FB frags to be very much about the development. True about the mimosa. I'm starting to warm up to it more and more these days.
I've been wanting to try this after watching so many amazing reviews (yours included). Civet and castoreum can be challenging to me most of the time, but the way you describe it makes this sound quite lovely
I enjoyed the opening of this one, but once the mimosa came out it turned me off. I cannot figure out why something that smells so pretty doesn’t work for me. I’ll have to give it another go if I can find my sample. I love your reviews, you very quickly became one of me favorite reviewers.

Great review. It took me a year of going through a few samples before I committed to a bottle of The Lovers Tale. I find her line mostly addictive and pressing all my olfactory buttons. Speaking about animallics, have you tried Papillon Artisan's Salome?
