That is some kit, so not just a quick afternoon or weekend build, looking great, I would like to look over the Victory sometime, but not in this current climate, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia.
Hi les. No weekend kits. I’ve been working on the build for 25months now. If I pulled my finger out. Maybe I could finish it this year. New Zealand is my second home. Family Live in Christchurch. I’ve visited 3 time in the last 5 years. But not sure when I can visit again now

@@Johnbuildsiconic John, I know exactly where your family live, many years ago, I always thought it was so far away from ChCh, but now with progress it is just a outer suburb., my last home there was in Addington. Next time you go there you could go via Melbourne.
I’m always landing in oz..but never have a visa to leave the airport. Was planing on meeting up with my family in oz in 2020 having a two week holiday then all flying back to New Zealand for a couple of months.. but covid put an end to them plans
Nice job John! Using the "Woodymodelworks" parts gives this section far more detail. In this case Deagostini could have given more attention to the details. I can see that comparing it with the build i do for the Mantua Panart Americo Vespucci. Scale is also 1 : 84 but in this kit the catheads are far more detailed and contain more parts both wood and metal/brass. I am concidering removing the present parts on my Victory build to replace them by "Woodymodelworks parts or at least use leftovers from the Amerigo Vespucci build to improve the looks of certain parts.

Hi Ron that sounds like a good idea. Good thing about builds like this. Is you can make like refits and start again on some sections
