Cullen Karra I completely agree with you mate! 👊😎 But maybe it doesn't mean too much for a guy that say their entire discography sounds fucking awesome as fuck!! 🙌😅
Totally agree. The Trilogy captured Green Day trying to cut loose and have fun. They weren't trying to re-invent the wheel or create a grandiose concept album...they were just trying to write some straight forward pop/rock/punk songs. They also stepped out of their comfort zone writing songs like "Kill the DJ" and "Nightlife". To quote Mike Dirnt, they were "firing on all cylinders." The songs also capture some dark times for Billie Joe...constant touring, the musical, substance abuse, and temptation on the road are all themes explored on the trilogy. Unfortunately, all of these things are what led to Billie's meltdown and much needed break/rehab stint. IMO, some of these songs are the most personal that Green Day has released in years. Some songs can be considered filler (e.g., Troublemaker) but there are so many gems to be heard (e.g. Stay the Night, X-Kid, Dirty Rotten Bastards, Lazy Bones, Stray Heart, etc). The companion DVD, ¡Cuatro!, capture these times really well. You can say it was the best of times, it was the worst of times...
Honestly the trilogy was amazing in every aspect, as a fan for over 10 years you appreciate every album and every song for the band that they are, i love them all!
2:13 Jeff Matika realizes he's late ... But if you listen closely he was the only one in time, the drummer started the chorus early and the whole band (except Jeff) followed him. Anyway, awesome!
What they really need to cover is Dirty Rotten Bastards. To my knowledge it's never been played live, anywhere. But this song was a staple on the 99 Revolutions tour. Always played it.
Boxcar Racer was a problem because blink-182 had only been a band for less than a decade, and Tom/Mark were still young, immature, and didn't know how to communicate well with each other. Green Day has been around for three decades, and everyone in the band is mature enough to not let a side project get between them.
Billie was in a band called Pinhead Gunpowder in 90s (Jason White joined in '94), Mike had a side band called The Frustrators in late 90s - early 00s, to name just a couple. I don't think there's anything to be scared about, really. ;) Besides, this looks and sounds more like "we're just having fun" band, doubt they'd be playing stadiums in near future, if ever. So, it's just like, have a good time, relax (and lose your ego but not your spirit, heh), imho.
I think he said that in America everbody's got stuff stuck in their chest while he saw that in Spain, nobody gives a fuck (about letting themselves go, I think he meant that)
que en estados unidos todos tenian algo atrapado en el pecho (por no decir las cosas que sienten) mientras q el sabe que en españa la gente dice lo que quiere, que les importa una mierda lo q piensen de ellos.
You know that you're legend when you cover yourself
Iodine Cerium this comment is criminally underrated
I laughed hard. Cause it's true
lmaooooooooooooooooooooo
He'd be way covering himself if he did Chartered Trips by Husker Du.

I HATE how criminaly underated 90% of the trilogy was.

Cullen Karra I completely agree with you mate! 👊😎

This song has the sound simalar to the long shot songs sound so it fits in this set List pretty well

Love the sound of Billie’s guitar!! I loved the trilogy
Yep it's a Gibson Les Paul Jr. With a P90 pickup
It’s a Marshall 1959 Plexi amp. Billie joe’s tone mostly comes from his style, his strumming his pick angle. That’s a iconic Marshall crunch tone.
It is SO fucking good to hear him singing some of these songs again. The trilogy songs were MADE for live shows like this. Pure fun rock n roll!
the longshot sounds like an outlet for billie to write/play trilogy era green day style songs imo
RustyStrings
I was thinking the same thing. Especially with the album art of Love is for Losers, it’s really Punk and gritty.
They deserve to be played. Keeping them away from Green Day or pretending they don't exist is a really bad decision imo.
TheMusicfan189 I am glad they at least played snippets of Amy, Walk Away, and Nuclear Family on the RevRad tour
Holy shit, I thought this would never be played live again.
Omg 8 years since they played the song
This song is amazing! I don't care what anybody says I loved the trilogy
Yeeeah
This is "one" of my very favorite Green Day songs!! Doesn't matter if Billie does it with GD or Longshot...it fuckin rocks!!!!
A song they should “cover” from Green Day is Hearts Collide
Oh man i love the trilogy. I wish they played more songs from it
Honestly the trilogy was amazing in every aspect, as a fan for over 10 years you appreciate every album and every song for the band that they are, i love them all!
such a good song, so glad to see it performed live again
it’s almost as if billie uses this band to play the songs from trilogy bcos he never gets the chance to play them as green day lol
omg this is so sad :(
The song actually tells a story and hooked me when it was released.
2:13 Jeff Matika realizes he's late ... But if you listen closely he was the only one in time, the drummer started the chorus early and the whole band (except Jeff) followed him.
Anyway, awesome!
Yup good spot

LOSE YOUR EGO, MAN! That was me. Haha

your ego made you post this comment
What did Billie say to you at the end of the video? he asked you to come up on stage and then? I can't hear well
Claudia Albani he invited me up because he appreciated my comment and what it meant. He then said I look squished haha

Holy Shit a trilogy song the Trilogy is SO UNDERRATED I prefer some songs over rev rad even
ikr, especially dirty rotten bastards i really wanna see it live
I love the trilogy, but i think i prefer rev rad
exelente presentacion , siempre sorprendiendo billie, al batero le falta un poco mas de sentimiento.
Greenday songs still the best
Billie with new gibson les paul jr custom
The Longshot is an excuse for Billie to play Trilogy Songs
Lol 😂
En Billie sigue Green Day
The Greenhot
Anyone know what amp the lead guitarist is using in these videos? Liking that tone
Anyone know if they’re going to formally tour
Austin Buley Im not sure but I hope they do
Jeff Matika needs to quit giving the Microphone a blowy
when billie making this band, im too scared about box car racer era

What does Billie say at 4:00, just before 'we have so many things to look forward to"?
we have a president that's going to be impeached
Thanks :)
name of the lead guitarist?
What did he say about Spain?
A guy from Spain flew from there to attend this concert.
I don't understand the whole speech. If someone can translate it?
I think he said that in America everbody's got stuff stuck in their chest while he saw that in Spain, nobody gives a fuck (about letting themselves go, I think he meant that)

They messed up a little bit, then the bass Hahaha but its cool
Wait does green day still make songs?
Box Car Racer vs The Longshot??
Elijah Allen apples and oranges
Where's Mike?where's Tre? Did Greenday broke up or they just changed their name to THE LONGSHOT?
soooooooo that means no more green day
I got bored of Green Day a long time ago, but this is a good track
Damn, this cover band sounds exactly like Green Day
(obviously, I'm joking)
The drummer fucked up he went into the chorus too early lol
He was better with Green Day
