    So what I’ve done, is just take a makeup spatula scrape out a little of the color and a little of the white and use a dish or a palette and then add water and it becomes lighter and you can make darker or lighter as you want just by adding more color with your spatula. That way you don’t need to take apart a whole cake. Mehron is really easy to work with and you’ll find a little goes a long way. Hope this helps!

      Hey! Does this only work with starblen cake or does it work with water activated mehron as well? Thank you!

    Thank you so much!! I couldn't find the right shade I needed for my Polly Geist cosplay, but knowing now I can mix colors is a huge relief!

    Thanks for this! I tried a different method and it was sooo messy. This helped me get a large quantity of the color I needed!

      Bridget Smith I’m glad it has helped you! I cringe at this every time I get a comment and have to open this because I’m so unnatural on camera. but the reason I made it and the reason it stays is bc I couldn’t find a similar video. Thanks 🙏

    Thank you so much for making this video, I don’t like how Snazaroo feels on my skin so I was looking for an alternative and mehrons gray was a bit too dark for me! Plus this is the only video I can find about doing this!

      @@pod350 It worked pretty well! I mixed it with my hands with gloves but I think I should have done it in a plastic bag cause a lot of the paint got built up on my gloves! Welovecolors has a chart that matches with combinations of mehron paints so you could get armsocks and tights in that color that matches the mixture:)

    Never thought to mix it with white to make it lighter. I just cut out a chunk of grey add in a chunk of white and when I activate and mix i get a lighter grey🤷🏻‍♀️ do the same with brown to get skin tones💁🏻‍♀️

    This is literally the perfect video. I also need a light grey, I also have dry skin and find the paradise aq works well with my skin and the snazaroo doesn't go on as smooth. Solution? THIS EXACT VIDEO. THANK YOU

    Does it apply just like the facepaint colors before they were mixed?

    • @kikismith2413
      @kikismith2413 ปีที่แล้ว

      Okay so I tested this out myself and it depends on the paints, some colors are more chalky when taken apart while others are like clay in consistency but after mixing them together well enough you can flatten it into an empty makeup container and it acts just like regular facepaint. I tried this with 2 of madeyewlook's paints and highly recommend them. They're very beginner friendly it only needs 3-4 spritz from a mini spray bottle you can get from the dollar store. They layer perfectly and blend well with each other and take eyeshadow well. It's perfect for cosplays and photos

    Thank you! I just got my first basic pallet for these paints and need to make secondary colors. Hope to cut half out and make split pots.

    This is a good tutorial and I would do this but this face paint is really expensive where I live.😬

    • @sirenhoops3855
      @sirenhoops3855  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ahhh I'm sorry your face paints are so expensive! This brand is pretty pricey here too! I could only justify it as I had a lot of jobs on at the time. I'm sure if you tried a different brand that has a similar creamy consistency you could get a similar result? Good luck! 😁

    Do you have to freeze it when you’re done mixing the body paint? This actually helped I want to get a purple/grey color

    • @sirenhoops3855
      @sirenhoops3855  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don’t need to freeze it afterwards, I was just impatient and wanted it to cool down and set more quickly! I’m glad this video helped! :)
