Used to hear this song all the time on the radio. Never knew who wrote it. Thrilled to reconnect with it after many decades. Hard to be sad or depressed while listening to it. Reminds me of everything I gained in saying yes to Jesus!
I think the point of the song is to keep the holiday season secular but I'm happy that those who have said yes to Jesus appreciate it as much as those of us who are more interested in uniting those of religious beliefs and those of none than dividing us based on our spirituality.
The whole album rocks, but How It Hits You, next to the title track has to be my absolute favorite! The song really captures how Jon Anderson has inspired my life...that Cosmic Love from him...literally, "How It Hits You"!"

Anyone knows his first awesome band "yes" in the 70s? The Voice of Jon Anderson is one of the outstanding Voices in the World. He make my life beautifull everyday when i hear his songs. Yeah, this is one of his most underrated songs imo.
The only problem with that statement is that Vangelis didn't play on it and had nothing to do with it.
