      Ryan Bates I went to your site and I'm trying to buy one but I can't Find the "add to cart" button...
      How much is each kit? Also if I bought two, can I connect the other one via USB to the one with the pie to use as another controllers so it. Can be two players?

    • @RetroBuiltGames
      @RetroBuiltGames  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Try "view in desktop mode" for your browser.
      A Full kit is 128 + shipping. You can do a two a 2 player setup as you described

    • @IAMayito90
      @IAMayito90 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ryan Bates awesome! So how would I use both fightsticks if they both have RP3s in them? That's where I'm confused, how would I use one as just a standalone course controller/fightstick?

    • @RetroBuiltGames
      @RetroBuiltGames  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh, you meant with TWO Pis and TWO fightsticks. Easiest way: The 2nd fightstick (slave) would have to contain a keyboard encoder with a USB plug going into it's Pi, When you want a two player setup just unplug USB connection from slave fight stick and plug into master.
      Better to go about it a more traditional Slave/Master route. One FSv3 has a RPI, the other is just a vanillia USB joystick like this: www.retrobuiltgames.com/porta-pi-arcade-help/2-player/

      Ahhh okay, And I was trying to buy a FSv3 and/or The JammaArcade 2P, But youre sold out :( :( .....Thanks for the answer btw! MUch Appreciated!

    I had an idea for making a "universal" arcade stick/controller. Probalby mroe trouble than it's worth but I was going to buy one of those gamestop-branded DDR pads with the PS2/GC/xbox connectors coming out - they seem to be common at thrift stores - and wire up the buttons in place of all those dance pad surface buttons (could probably use old guitar hero things as well). Probably easier just to use a specialty encoder/arduino for a such a thing. I mean if soldering would be involved anyway.

    • @RetroBuiltGames
      @RetroBuiltGames  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is a good idea, you should do it.

    • @RetroBuiltGames
      @RetroBuiltGames  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you find a DDR pad that has more than the O and X buttons I'd like to know what brand. Konami brands only have up, down, left, right, Start, Select, X, O- which limits the usefulness of a fightstick...

      I don't know if this link will paste/stay or not, but here's a four button/directions/start/select for ps2 and gamecube:
      www.amazon.com/Gamestop-Game-Cube-Dual-Platform-Dance/dp/B0002SZN98
      [amazon: *Gamestop PS2 / Game Cube Dual Platform Dance Pad*]. not sure that's enough for stick or not but more than the two anyway.

    Hey! great video, love the artwork... Good and thorough explanation. However, did you skip the part of not programming the Pi for the GPIO pins, or is it not necessary? I appreciate your answer. Keep building great projects,again thank you

    Awesome creations, I think you're PlayStation one joystick would have looked better if the entire thing was silver just like your red Neo Geo one how the sides are red to match the top but great job I wish I could make those myself just like you!

    really good job. I'm looking to make a project that uses similar buttons to the arcade buttons you used. (pi mp3 player with simple navigation buttons) Any information you can provide about those? Generally the entire process of wiring hardware is confusing me a lot, I've spent so many hours looking at videos but not sure that I'm going about this properly. Any resources on learning about wiring you could reccomend? Using a breadboard vs not is confusing, why some wiring projects requires soldering and some don't (i know has something to do with the connectors - but are those specific to the hardware or can you make any wires connect without solder if you have the right wire type / conncetors?) Anyway just hoping for some tips. Nice video hope you're enjoying your arcade controller.

    6:06-Will I be able to build it with the full kit if I have no expirience in this kind of stuff? and will I have to do 5:17
    or will it be included in the kit finished?

      @@RetroBuiltGamesDarn, im a bit disappointed, the kade interface looked rather user friendly. I have got an Arduino, not a micro tho but i shall see how to set it up between the controller components and the cable going to the console. :)
