I had a brain Anyolysm which was treated with metal coiling 4 years ago, i still struggle with short memory but am very thankful to God i am still alive and able to do my day to day duties. Thanks for expaining in details what my Neurologist couldn't.
Thank You, for such an easy to understand webinar. I have to have my aneurysms clipped in 3 weeks, I’m absolutely terrified, but watching videos like yours, has helped me to understand better. Thank You, again.
Wow! I am a 70 yr old female with a paraclinoid aneurysm and was trying to decide my next step via online research. I only wish I had happened upon this lecture first. Made my decision. Thank you so much.
Very informative and thorough. My mom died of a subarachnoid hemorrhage in 1992. She suffered migraine all her life and became legally blind the last few years of her life. She wouldn't go to the doctor, the stubborn old woman...not old tho, she was only 53. I miss her all the time still, 32 years later.
This is very informative. Thank you. I recently underwent endovascular treatment with 7 coils for my unruptured aneurysm behind my right eye that measured 30mm x 25mm which was diagnosed after waking up on Aug 31st of this year with 3rd nerve palsy. I have 2 much smaller aneurysms that will be treated next month, too. I feel very lucky to be alive and to have a very skilled surgeon here in the Santa Barbara area. Thanks again for this in-depth explanation on aneurysms.
Thank you for an excellent crystal clear presentation. I had a stroke about 5 months ago that affected my speaking. It was resolved within 30 min., but had headaches for about 3 months. . In their search & scanning they found an aneurysm. Since my Mom had a burst aneurysm when she was 51 (I am 77), they are going to do a head CT in a week. After listening to some of the doctors I have decided that I will not have the coiling they are suggesting for the fear of being disabled afterwards. When my Mom had the aneurism she went blind & lost movement of her right side. & considerable mental ability. After the surgery she regained her sight & with a lot of PT she improved in movement. I took care of her for months & I feel I would rather take a chance with nature. I was a special education teacher & know the hardship on families.
Thank you so much for publishing this on TH-cam. This is incredibly useful with latest studies and very great clear explanation/presentation.. I have two unruptured aneurysms and I really wanted to know the latest and legit authoritative information online before I have a follow-up appointment with the neurologist which is one month ahead... So I've been so worried about my case and this video gave me so much useful information. Thank you so much again for posting on TH-cam.
thank you. when my aneurysm (18mm) in the PCOM artery ruptured, instead of having the worst headaches prior, i was immediatwly in coma and stayed that way for 3 weeks, I had endovasxular coiling + stent
April 2023 i had subarachnoid Hemorrhage from raptured anuerysm with one unraptured 2.5mm, prior i have no symptoms at all i simply feel a thunder clapped pain and got a blurry visions then i collapse, based of my smart watch i seen im unconscious for 5 minutes and regained before the paramedic arrived . I undergo coiling and stenting and stayed in the ICU for 3 weeks.
Its funny because all this scientific studies says mostly anuerysm raptured because of high blood pressure or etc. I dont have a highblood pressure when i wash rushed to the ICU my blood pressure is only 126/68, i never smoke nor i drink alcohol and i am the first one who have this in our family i am in healthy side as always when it comes to the foods i ate nor i am always an active person yet this happened to me
Scientists have also found that anger actually causes an almost seven-fold increase in the risk of a brain bleed. Having high blood pressure, being under stress or being upset and doing any heavy lifting or working out, can also cause your blood pressure to rise and can cause the aneurysm to rupture.
I have recently been diagnosed with two brain aneurysms and boy......it's true sometimes you don't have them. The only way I knew something was wrong was when I had the worst headache of my life that felt like 20 bowling balls exploding behind my right eye area .
@@T.K.KIRKLAND. Why did you say that?? Was that something you knew? I recently have been diagnosed with an aneurysm. And not sure what or who to trust to administer treatment. By the way Mr. Handsome, funny MAN I am a Fan☺️
You’re so right. Most cases you find out once you get that massive headache. I sure did and that headache was so bad I literally passed out and was rushed to the hospital, and that’s where they did a scan and found that it was an aneurysm that needed to be treated before it ruptures. I thank God everyday a Dr was available to help ASAP and got the care I needed.
@@smile-17Though aneurysms may occur in any part of the body, the most common site is the brain, which makes stroke one of the leading causes of death worldwide. A ruptured aneurysm releases blood into the spaces in the brain, causing subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). This catastrophic event needs urgent medical attention. This condition is usually fatal, with a 50 percent risk of death.
Love science and learning about our human body's functioning. I wish all students could take at least one semester of general medicine at the university.
I (50f) had a grand Mal seizure with Todd’s Paralysis in April. First time with TP. I have a seizure disorder. They found a brain aneurysm. My Neurosurgeon and Neurologist are deciding between a clip or stint (pipe) procedure. I feel like a walking time bomb. If I have another serious seizure, it could easily rupture. My walk is still unsteady, I forget words, fall down randomly, double vision. I don’t drink and only smoke occasionally. I have Lupus. I don’t understand why it’s taking so long to do the surgery.
I Recently been diagnosed with two Brain Aneurysm, it is very scary .... I didn"t know I had it until I stared having strong painful headaches, , loosing some of right side vision blurred vision , and loss of short memory.
I had a surgery on my frontal lobe, to rid me of a very severe.headache.later on when I consulted doctors in the UK & USA, I was also having MRSA; most of the time I was using aids to walk. Although, I was a sportsman playing Golf; Tennis,Squash, hockey & Soccer. Although, I am receiving rehabilitation treatment, but I am becoming frustrated because, I can’t play sports! My questions to are the following; a) How long would it be before I can start playing again? b) what should I do to protect myself from getting another Aneurysm attack? C) I would be obliged if anyone can throw light by answering the questions I have asked above. Regards, Khalid Aziz..
Unruptured vascular aneurism can almost make the same effect as ruptured aneurysm, especially if it is located on the brain stem (pressure almost the same) and some times makes leg shivering. Is it possible to make endovascular bypass tube (inside the artery)to insulate aneurysm area, to make it shrink and possibly become normal again?
i get stabbing like or very quick sharp headaches usually it does not last long and i sometimes see flashing lights. i was also diagnosed with high blood pressure as well. Could i have brain anuerysm ?
Yes it can, i have raptured a significant subarachnoid Hemorrhage predominantly in the surprasselar and basal cisterns and around my sylvian fissure and frontal lobe gyri and have intraventicular Hemorrhage as well in the occiptical horns and pne 2.5mm unraptured anuerysm , my nuerosurgeon do the coiling and stent to my raptured anuerysm the unraptured they didn't touch it but its in a close monitoring . Thanks to God and Im so greatfullll to my neurosurgeon and nurses for takingcare of me.

Trust me , this is very slow and easy to follow than any other video .
Need to have your ears checked seriously
Sometimes voices react on people differently but never mind as You Tube to the rescue with replay
Sounds fine to me, but you can use the video speed reduction feature in options
You might want to get a new set of earbuds .
