My dad served in two wars. He came home to work in a steel stamping factory for the next 30 years. He tore his rotator cuffs lifting heavy sheets of steel. After the second surgery his doctor said he could not have a third surgery. My dad applied for food stamps to hold him over until disability was approved. He was told to go home and sell the $17,000 home he paid off in 30 years and live off the proceeds. When the proceeds were used up he could come back and reapply for food stamps. That was the second time I saw my dad cry in my lifetime.

But our daughter in law who divorced our son, got them AFTER getting a check for half the value of the house. AFTER having lost them a year earlier because of FRAUD! The majority of the votes reside in the large major cities like SF and LA. The democrats have controled the legislator since the early 50's. Progressive federal and state judges have stopped voter referendoms from becoming inacted. They have run busnesses out of the state while encouranging people migrating into the state to take advantage of the better benefits to those on public assistance. It influx originally came from out of state, now its our of country. They imported people who will vote to keep them in office.

I can not get a home loan or mortgage because I am not working. 49 y.o. man. And I am told I waited too long to ever apply for disability. I had to pull out money I put away years ago, and I'm going to get hammered on taxes 'cause it grew, to buy my parents house. Just like when they only approved me for $700 in student loans because I worked too much in h.s., so I couldn't afford college and I worked 6 or 7 days a week as a janitor or whatever I could get, the government will help everyone except for a hard-working American-born citizen. This pisses me off to no end😡

As a fellow immigrant.. my parents spent years trying to come here, going to multiple interviews to prove that they would be good productive members of society, spent their life savings coming to America and worked multiple jobs to make it in this country and give my siblings and I a better life. If you ever pick up a voting map, even in blue states like the entire west coast (Washington, Oregon, California) there is a clear divide between red and blue. The only reason those states vote blue is the major cities with huge businesses and populations needed to run them... everywhere else is common sense red/ Republican, not extreme racists like we're painted as by haters.
It's easy to solve these problems, just take these people to the rich neighborhoods. As a child of illegal immigrants, I don't agree with this bill... Even my parents who are now US citizens which took forever, do not think this is fair to those Americans that have put in hard work and want that American dream of owning their own home. This is insane. I'll miss my home state but I just can't live in it anymore. I've now been away from California for over 24 years (military service) and every time I go back it just makes me more depressed seeing what has been done to it.
Im not dreaming Im living reality. Born here, worked 55 yr.s lot of full time and partime added. Never able to get a home barely could afford childcare, school supplies, clothing , utilities, transportation, medical food rent for 4 children. No welfare. So credit get bad when you cannot pay bill on time. I cannot own anything home, car, and 65 now broken down living in 1bdrm crime ridden, floor ready to fall thru, section 8, senior housing this past yr. My reality for being American.

I saved for 11 years to stack up 150k in saving… through that period of time I had to spend 70k on a life saving surgery and went through a 3 year long pandemic where as Canadian having a job was next to impossible!!

I'm a veteran. Served in the Navy from 2000 - 2004 in the 7th Fleet aboard the U.S. Fort McHenry. I've struggled with homelessness off and on for about 10 years. A fraction of $150k would be life changing for me and so many other veterans that are struggling with housing. The way things are going, I might be living out of my car again, even with two jobs!
