    When do you add the glow mica

    I love your work. The HTV did not completely stick because you have your have to remove the clear cover while it’s still warm. There is HTV available for cold peeling.

      Yes! That was my inspiration 🤗 all this 90s stuff is coming back and Lisa Frank was one of the best things about that decade!

    Amazing technique. Thank you for the tutorial. How do you put the hole in the freshies after they are cooled?

    • @FarmhouseDesigns
      @FarmhouseDesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So as you saw in the video with the first one I did I placed the nail in before placing the beads but that only complicated things when I tried taking it out so for the rest I created the hole after by heating the nail with a lighter (make sure you hold the nail with pliers so you don’t burn your fingers) and then I stuck the hot nail through the freshie (when doing this make sure you pull the nail back out immediately while it’s still hot otherwise the cooled plastic on the nail gets left behind and leaves a mess that has to be cut off which ends up not looking very nice) once again be careful not to touch any part of the nail during this process as the entire thing heats up and will burn your fingers.

      You can also use a drill Bit and it makes a beautiful hole

    Does the fragrance oil not cause the vinyl to come off?

    Could you do in depth on the cardstock ones too? Also is a cricut easy to learn? What Cricut do you use or recommend?
    Thanks for your videos, they are so helpful! My daughter has been wanting to start saving for a car and this is right up her alley to start doing!

      I have been planning to do that tutorial 🙂 I really expected to have already posted it but unfortunately I got covid a couple of weeks ago so I’m just now getting caught up after being useless for a week…..just in time to start getting the kids ready for school so realistically I probably won’t be able to get that one filmed for another week once my kids go back school which works out better anyway, I’ll have a quiet house to film lol. I’m definitely not a cricut pro (you’ll see that in the video) and a cricut is quite an investment, in the video I will also be showing a way to do the round cardstock without a cricut all you would need is a basic printer and a 3” hole punch which can be purchased at hobby lobby. I’ve put the link to it below if you wanted to try that way out yourself 🙂

    What cricut do you recommend planning on buying one very soon

    • @FarmhouseDesigns
      @FarmhouseDesigns  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have only used the cricut that I have so I don’t really know what others are like so it’s hard for me to recommend one…. The only thing I would suggest is to get a full size one that uses the 12 inch mats (they have smaller more narrow ones).

    Great video thank you!!! Do you have any recommendations on what htv works the best? I’m debating on buying higher end htv or cheaper htv. Thank you!

      Thank you and you’re welcome! The HTV in this video is from Walmart so definitely no need to spend a fortune ☺️

    So have you had feed back on the heat transfer vinyl on the freshies? Is it staying on in the heat in customers vehicles? Is anyone having any problems with peeling, cracking, or warping with the vinyl? I'm just curious 🤔. I'm really interested in doing this with mine but I'm wondering if its actually holding up.

    • @FarmhouseDesigns
      @FarmhouseDesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So I’ve actually put two in my own car and both held up really well, no cracking or peeling. However, I did have an issue with some that I made during an event. While at the event it was really hot and some of the HTV stuck to the inside of the bag and peeled away from the freshie…..they hold up well in the bag at room temp and outside of the bag in a hot car but do not hold up in a hot bag 😬

      Try wrapping the Freshies with HTV in Parchment Paper (shiny side against the vinyl). Just an idea...I will be doing that when I package mine that has HTV on them.

    Do you have to use transfer tape when baking them? Or could you just place the weeded out HTV directly onto the bottom of the mold, then add the beads?

    What HTV did you use and the temp for how long...TIA

    • @FarmhouseDesigns
      @FarmhouseDesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not sure what brand the HTV was but I got it at Walmart! It baked under the freshie in the oven at 275 for 12 minutes but depending on your oven, mold or cutter this time and temp may not work for you. Just bake your freshie as you always would and the HTV will work just fine!

      Yes. Regular vinyl does not stick well at all.
