    The really fun part is that Mr Harrington was also in 2008's The Incredible Hulk. He was a computer nerd going to college at that time, graduated, and became a teacher at Peter's school. He was only in the movie for a few seconds, but it has been confirmed. A sharp eyed watcher caught it, brought it up, and the people in charge of maintaining the
    MCU lore decided that it was fine for them to be the same person. Same as Tony saving the little kid in Iron Man 2 later being revealed as Peter Parker. It hurt nothing, and was just a nice little addition.

    • @scottautry9981
      @scottautry9981 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      The kid in Ironman 2 was not Peter. You can see the kid standing by himself during Tony’s funeral. Same actor.
      Edit: Ok, I looked it up and I was wrong. That kid is from the third movie, not the second. I also saw that you were referencing the kid at the expo. It would be pretty cool of they added that as a bit of back story to the next Spiderman movie.

    One of the things I also love about Peter catching Beck’s last attempt to shoot him is that in the comics his Spidey Sense has been described (by Marvel) as allowing him to dodge bullets through a combination of the speed of his own reflexes AND his Spidey Sense tingling as shooters are squeezing the triggers AND if they’re fired from far enough away.
    So the end shot implies Peter was at something like peak focus, concentration, and expecting another illusion, letting him block the shot from point blank. Like Peter rolled a 20.

    • @Mrryn
      @Mrryn 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      And it's especially impressive for Peter at this point in his "career" as Spider-Man. Considering, as we see by the end of No Way Home, he's really only just now really starting his time in earnest as Spider-Man, relying less on Stark tech, having been run through the grinder of big bads already, and only just by the end of this movie really honing in on his Spider Sense, his potential is insanely high. As in that "point blank gunshot block" could easily be his baseline with the Sense and not even considering how rudimentary his actual hand to hand skills are yet he was still already capable of going toe to toe with people like Cap and even a 1v2 against Bucky and Sam.
      Tom's Spidey is only just starting, I already love him in the role, and I honestly can't wait to see him grow even more and potentially even become the "definitive" Spider-Man.

The scene between Happy and Peter is so amazing. It hurts and yet it's so good. The one thing Tony never second guessed was picking Peter. Traditionally in the comics, Beck was a pyrotechnics specialist working in movies. He was also however a bit overly enthusiastic about his special effects, which led to him using doo much explosives on a scene. Spider-Man showed up to save everyone; but discovered Beck's negligence. This led to Beck being fired AND blacklisted, so he used his knowledge to create Mysterio and had an advantage by creating holographic devices to help him seem "super." Not sure when Doc Oc found him but eventually his holo-technology got an upgrade and he's ben one of Spider-Man's foes ever since. Usually though, he's not very difficult for Peter to beat on his own; but as I said he's also a member of the sinister Six, which means he can sometimes have backup.

      I don't know dude maybe you're right, but he was dusty for a minute there and I don't think Tom was using that superhuman strength of his to clench his spidey cheeks to hold out...

      @@jaysuscrass9119 it's not referring to a physical self healing ability, when they say "using strength as spider-man to fight this"
      they meant his willpower. like when people in real life are on their death bed and they literally will themselves to keep living until they've said goodbye to everyone lol

    Something I loved about this movie, is that I know a fair bit of Marvel lore, so when the first trailer released, I knew Mysterio was bad, but I wasn't sure how bad he would be in the movie, because I knew they would play him as good to trick us, but how good? For example, was everything fake? Was his powers real? Was he a hero but went bad? How will they write his character for the film? When they talked about him being from another Earth, everything seemed like another level of hype, I love that Marvel Studios was able to do his character so well in the movie. Looking forward to more reactions!

    Couple things: there's easter eggs in some of the car license plates that reference comic issues of Amazing Spider-Man like the first appearance of Mysterio.
    The Earth-616 Mysterio claimed the MCU was is fake, BUT in the real world it's the name of the main comic book universe. The MCU is Earth-199999. They're gonna say its Earth-616 a lot in Phase 4 especially in Doctor Strange 2 but it's not. They just like referencing the comics.

    'I feel like they're going to mention Tony at least once' - Oh boy do we have news for you XD
    Fun Fact: you can actually see Jake before he meets Peter in Venice, almost like he was spying on him all this time
    The film did really well with Mysterio though, most Spider-Man fans knew he was a villain and a charlatan from the comics (in the comics he's literally just smoke and mirrors as a failed magician, the Raimi movies were going to have Bruce Campbell play him to explain his multiple cameos in each film) and tv shows, but they still pulled off a way to make the reveal that he's an actor using VFX really well. Bit of a shame he's another 'villain aggrieved by Tony and thus lashing out on Peter' but they at least tied his crew together. Jake was of course awesome in the role too.
    Peter and MJ's chemistry is great too, think I loved it just a little more than I did Andrew and Emma's chemistry, because they were so awkward chaotic together.

    So some really cool stuff Mysterio is a famous Spider-Man villain first appearing in The Amazing Spider-Man #13. Mysterio mentions that he's from Earth-833 which is the reality of Spider-UK who's also apart of the Captain Britain Corps, a group of Captain Britain's from alternate universes. The Captain Britain Corp are actually the one's who designate all universes with a number.
    Mysterio also refers to the MCU as Earth-616 which is the the main comic book Earth where the MCU bases most of it's stories on which I've been making reference to in my past comment. These of course are only claims by Mysterio he most likely just picked some random numbers which just happened to be real Earths but without going into spoilers for other movies they're are other hints to maybe Mysterio was aware of the Multiverse as what is the odds of him picking those numbers at random.
    If you know about Spider-Man outside of the movie's then you'd right away know that Mysterio is a villain but they did a great job for people unaware of his character. In the comic's he has zero powers but he is a former special effects artistic who was also a Stage magician under the name "The Magnificent Mysterio". For Far From Home they pretty much just modernized him with holograms and linked him closer to Tony.
    Mysterio was going to feature a small part in Sam Rami's Spider-Man 4 the opening scene would've featured Peter bringing Mysterio to a police station after a battle. He was rumoured to be played by Bruce Campbell meaning every time we saw Campbell in the first three Rami films could've actually been Mysterio with this version being closer to his Stage Magician origin story. I'm pretty sure the actor of Mysterio appeared in the Spider-Man 2 game along with other characters not featured in the film like Rhino but Spider-Man 4 would've been his first appearance in a film.
    Alot of people including myself would've preferred if the MCU was it's own universe (Earth-19999) and not a live action rendition of Earth-616 as the two universe's just don't line up at all from characters being active in the 1960s to the X-Men, Fantastic Four and other groups and hero's playing a massive part in this Earth along with events like Civil War, Ultron, and Infinty War being pretty different to the comic versions it just doesn't line up at all and would be better if the MCU just remained Earth-19999 a universe inspired by the comic's both Earth-616 and the Ultimate universe. Maybe Marvel has a way of explaining it who knows, at the moments I think it's better if the MCU was it's own universe and not Earth-616 in live action unless it's explained really well.
    38:02 The end Credit scene of the Skrulls is a set up for Secret Invasion, long-term invasion of Skrulls who use their shape-shifting abilities to pose as Marvel's various superheroes. In the comic's this also explained why some Marvel character were acting weird in some past comic's a fun little way of explaining some bad writing choices as some characters were a little out of character if that makes sense so it kind of was like "Hey they were actually a Skrull we had this planned all along" when in reality it was just some writer not understanding a certain character. No more details as revealing the comic info could spoil the show but it's a pretty big deal.
    No word yet on a release but Samuel Jackson will play a massive part in the Secret Invasion TV show hopefully we'll see him shine again as Nick Fury who should really get his own show or movie. There's also a massive event in the comic's called Secret War which has nothing to do with Secret Invasion. Secret Invasion was the first big crossover event in Marvel comic's and would make for a great MCU film if they ever decide to do it.
    The end scene of with JJJ is a set up for No Way Home which pretty much picks up right after Far From Home. Loved that they got J.K. Simmons
    to play JJJ again but this time in the MCU. JJJ was mentioned in the Amazing Spider-Man films but we never saw him. I like to think that Simmons is JJJ in every universe lol
    But yeah overall I enjoyed the film I just would've prefer something more New York focused and focused around Spider-Man rather than Stark tech. No Way Home gave me what I wanted so I'm so excited for your reaction to that.
