I Must Betray You was one of my favorites last year also! OOOOH yes, Marmee! SUCH a great book. I sobbed, too. 😭😭 I agree about the ending of Frozen River.
Amanda what a fantastic video - several of those books are on my to read list. The book Refugee really intrigues me. My mom and dad are both Cuban immigrants who came over in the early 60s. Mom actually came over in a little boat and was found by the Coast Guard off of the keys. She still remembers seeing dolphins from the boat. Anyways, what a great list! Thank you for the video. And by the way you look radiant 😊
I loved both of those middle grade books too. I read the Christmas book by Lynn Austin so need to read All My Secrets. I Must Betray You is so so good! I listened on audiobook and enjoyed the accents. I learned so much (and I'm 62 years old...hey, I'm a "lifelong learner"). Yes, Marmee is so so so good too! I loved the motherhood perspective. I will definitely be reading Land of Silence in 2025!
I had to pause the video to let you know that I am in the middle of The Premonition at Withers Farm per your rec, and it is SO good!! So far, I'd say that it's my fave that I've read by JJW.
When i have lots of Kindle highlights, that's a sure sign it was a fave read ... kind of the digital version of your sticky tabs.😂 Hinds' Feet on High Places looks and sounds like a treasure.❤
Once Upon A Wardrobe, Land of Silence and Veiled in Smoke made my fav books too!!👏I just finished The Frozen River and wow! loved it❤❤❤5 stars!! I still need to get to Lethal Standoff sounds so good!!
Hi Amanda, have to say Land of Silence was both my first biblical fiction. And my first book by Tessa Afshar….I wept, I praised God. Words simply aren’t there. I’ve read several biblical fiction since including several by Tessa. Changed me truly. Brave and Up from Dust on my TBR. Thanks for your great content🙏💞
So many great books!! "Charity" by Jim Carrier had the greatest impact on me in 2024. It is the story of Charity Hospital in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. It was riveting, heart wrenching and unforgettable. Would I recommend it? It's a tough read. Not for everyone, but, wow! Thanks for staying up so late to share with us! Loved the video. 🌻❤️
Oh my goodness, I've barely read any of these but you make them sound so good. I was planning to cap my TBR at 100 books for this year, but after this video....nope 😂😂😂 Thanks for the recommendations, Amanda!
I liked embers in the London sky but I had to mark it down when the guy was like… if you know your kids happy, why contact him? I don’t even care it ended well. That’s an unforgivable thing to say in a bookish hero where I’m allowed to judge you for your flaws since you don’t actually exist. Haha!

I’ve always read some Christian fiction, but I’m looking to change my reading pattern to include more of it. You have given me a lot to add to my TBR!

Hey there
I read book 4 but it didn’t make my favorites like for a lifetime did.
I hope to read it this month!
I enjoyed fish in a tree but I found the teacher kind of annoying. If he said fantasticos one more time…
Hahaha that’s true!
Speed is too fast!
Sorry, there is an option for playback speed on videos to slow down if needed. ❤
