Thank you for posting this!! There is such a lack of homeschool videos around Core Knowledge which is such a bummer. It's a great curriculum but a bit intimidating to implement in a homeschool setting.

I was surprised there was such a lack of videos in regards to Core Knowledge 🤷‍♀️ From what we have used, its been a great, well researched curriculum and it’s Free! I definitely found it intimidating at first, hence why I made this video. I really wanted to show how easy it is to implement in an homeschooling setting 😃

We're currently using it for 2nd grade science. This is our first unit. My kiddos are liking it so far.

Great content! I know about CK, but never really gave it a thorough review. I have their what your child should know series. Thank you for sharing.

I also have the what your child should know series. I like that the information in the books are spot on for where my child is. Not to much information or too little, just the right amount 😃

We love core knowledge! We had been doing the language arts but will start the history/geography so this was very helpful. Thank you!

We’ve really been enjoying it so far! I’m looking forward to starting CK language arts with my kindergartner when she finishes up with her All About Reading

@@michellegf we love all about reading!! We went all the way up to level four with the kids and absolutely love that program.

@@dianachen4986 agreed! I used AAR with my oldest and now I am using it with my youngest daughter and its working great.

Very helpful. I have this as something I want to use but I admit it’s a bit Intimidating for me. I used the student guide a little last year because I could have my kids essentially make it like a read aloud to me but I have not implemented it since. I will give it another try with our Midieval unit.

It can definitely be intimidating at first, but it’s really easy to navigate now that I’m used to it. Make sure you check out the online resources for the CK Middle Ages unit. I found some of the videos really helpful.

Could you possibly do a 'do a lesson with me' for the science? I'm really struggling with figuring out if this will work for my family.

I have a video for CK Science where I go over how I implement it. I also suggest this website homeschoolworkplans.com. There is also a TH-cam channel for homeschool work plans that goes over the teacher guides in more detail. Hope that helps!

    Is this a religious curriculum?

      No, it’s completely secular

Oh cool, thanks - it can be hard to find secular curriculum.

@@tuathadesidhe1530 that’s one of the reasons I made this video. It’s so hard to find secular curriculum, especially when it comes to science. I love that everything is available free too!
