This is terrific. We have here not one--but three--comedians on the court: Alan King, John McEnroe and Andre Agassi.
Andre Agassi auto biography was the best auto biography I have ever read.
That's because it was written by a Pulitzer prize winning author - mohringer - but bear in mind that doesn't equate to truth. Not too many followed Agassi as closely as I did - and that book is fully of errors - from misleading interpretations to outright factual errors.
robotontoilet Are you serious? Because I would like to read his book, but re you saying it is not worth since it's full of lies? But why? It is unbelievable!
@@alessiasalzano9110 To be expected from most any autobiography, stretching the truth &/or not exposing the whole truth (i.e. wouldn't expect Connors to admit he was a huge jerk & doesn't in his book, but everyone on tour and least some fans knew it). Still a very very good read just take some things with a grain of salt is all
MUFC I hope so. I am ready for a team sport that refuses to wear blm shirts and kneel at our National Anthem. But, one can only hope.
Why is there no more fun like this in Tennis.1990 to 2000 was the golden age of tennis
Well, that's quite subjective. What about the 2000's and 2010's when Roger and Rafa dominated?
It's lacking in all areas in life!!!
Those days are long gone!!!
Hey atleast we experienced them....
That was funny as hell. Even the chair umpire got into it. Awesome!
The chair umpire is comedian Alan King, for this US Open exhibition match. :) (sorry if you already knew that)...
Alan King...lol...looks like he just came off the safari
miss those days when tv screen was 4:3 and people were intelligent and had a sense of humor
@@russkate88 He said people were intelligent...which entails not getting offended.
The umpire looks like he's on a safari
Made me smile & actually laugh out loud at 7:10am having not gone to bed yet. I love this.
McEnroe didn't realize what he done making tennis actually fun back in the day
These guys are hillarious. Love it.
Problem is, McEnroe never threw his racquet during that famous meltdown. He held on to it.
Man, that was tennis !
That impression by Agassi tho. It's just sofa king hilarious 😂 LOL!
What a great generation of players, hall of fame
Great era in tennis.
It's amazing how far down Tennis has gone since these days.
thanks for posting , good stuff ! I think the joker does and even better imitation of mac
It's great to watch. Although the background noise is too much... Apart from the catch phrase I couldn't hear anything. Can anyone post the conversation?
Ah I miss those days
Back when tennis was entertaining and fun to watch
It's from an era when tennis players were not the machines/robots they have been in recent years.
@@aranighosh3945 The newer Hi Tech
rackets ruined men's tennis .
No more serve and volley...or
passing shots either. !!
Shame I missed that. Will listen on catch up. He didn't shout at me all those years back as he signed some large bw photos I took of him. When I followed him through the bar at Queens Club (London) and repeatedly said :' excuse me Mr McEnroe' he finally swing round and said he heard me the first time. So I said : ' you didn't respond'. Signed them all. Priceless. One won a competition and I soon became a professional photographer...... shouting is no great sin....."sticks and stones' etc.
I actually saw that match,it was pretty dang funny,I read Mac's book it was really good and I'm not a reader I'm tennis pro...wow did Mac touch elbows wit all the gods of tennis harry hopman wow, that was a hell of a journey Mac and it explained a lot I recommend it to any tennis fan...if you want to know what it takes to get to the US OPEN and WIMBLEDON and play against your hero and win,a must...
you cannot be serious!!!!!!!!!
umpire should have said penalty to Mr Mcenroe
You're right...absolutely hilarious!
Agassi had those fire 🔥 Head racquets too.
@@geoffreydy9739 nice, bro. I broke mine playing on concrete court's back at school.
3 legends indeed lol
Those were the days…
Was this 1989? I saw Mac vs Agassi final in 1989 at Los Angeles Masters at the UCLA stadium. (Alan King is officiating here?!) Agassi forehand preparation is immaculate. Beautiful to watch.
That's great!
How about that chair man Alan King on of the great comedians....I like when mac lift up his shirt he really got Andre s attention very funny,he pays attention too Ag
..tennis players what a trip...t love it I think it would be safer for all of us if Mac just played baseball or basketball, the bad calls are less common I think that's probably the reason john was anger so much that stuff, bad calls don't really happen almost never, thank god for electronic technology,I said this before being a tennis pro all tennis fans ever tell me about when I talk tennis was his fights with the lines people I missed John's whole career of great tennis skill because that drove me away, people like drama I don't,oh well...John is on of tennis hero's and so is Borg,so it don't matter I respect talent that's what counts, now where that number for Mrs Brown proper edicat school...its here some where...see ya
Thanks
'You can't be serious'...Robert at 66.
that's entertainment !!!
This is a riot 😂
Agassi was the best...
Fabuleux
Wow McEnroe is actually using a composite racquet here..
Facing McEnroe amazon books $9.99!!!!
Agassi, très bon jeu.
Was this a 'friendly' match?😂😅🤣
Excellent 😂👍
It's funny. However, McEnroe still has hair so.....
That reminds of Roddick's comeback when Agassi taunted him. Agassi was like what've you got big guy? and Roddick was like...HAIR!
Hahahaaaaa.............Agassi had such great "rock star" hair at the beginning! :-)
To funny...... good video
McEnroe hurt tennis with his antics. Agassi brought it back.
Jim
Not in my opinion and many others at the time. Agassi always a bit dour I thought...
McEnroe hardly hurt tennis. He holds 156 titles between singles and doubles. Most of all time.
Totally disagree. He was captivating and he drew the crowds. For me he was the best player of all time in terms of ability and variation of game. Agassi was base line boredom. Borg the same.
I agree, he took tennis to a new low, and was the face of the "Ugly American".I can't stand to even watch him doing commentary on tennis. Love to see great athletes with character and class.
Unici
hehe wunderbar
0:37 *YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS!!!!*
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
Is this a serious game?
It was a charity tournament. Even the umpire wasn't for real. That was Alan King a famous actor.
This is the US open kids day exhibition before the real tournament begins. It's all for fun - for kids.
😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
Comedians they are not.
My favourite tennis player John
McEnroe despite the Novaks, Federers and Nadals. He was a great singles and doubles player and his tantrums were hilarious 😂🤣
