This was good, clear-headed analysis. People act like she’s trash until 5 stars but it’s simply not true; she just won’t reach her maximum ceiling until then. Happiness is important but it’s not the entirety of her kit. It’s understandable people want to pull for Saffiyah and Auguste - I do too - but you also have to consider the opportunity cost of skipping until they drop, which currently seems to be a ways off. People who hard skip until those units come will not have stronger accounts than people who pulled strategically in the meantime. If it’s just because you really love those characters then go ahead I guess but I think most people are locked onto them because they’ve convinced themselves that they are “the best” units to have.
It depends on their budget. If their budget can't ensure they will get Safiyah/Auguste later on, it's better to skip Cocoa. An account having Safiyah/Auguste without Cocoa is better than having Cocoa without them. The game just doesn't give enough to ensure pulling every units. You are potentially spending over $1k, not few hundreds if you exhaust your pulls before them. Cocoa is a very FOMO unit. The marketing team knows what they're doing and that's why Cocoa is coming first.

But there isn’t any one unit that’s going to carry you in this game, which is a team building game after all with a lot of important roles. I would say Saf and Aug are the real FOMO units. All I’m saying is people shouldn’t be so locked in to any one unit and deny themselves a chance to actually enjoy the game. Some people really do enjoy saving months on end for that one special character; more power to them. But most people have just heard that those two are the uber “must pull” characters so won’t consider other things, yet then complain that they have to wait forever to pull. Just suggesting that it may actually help their account to expand their view to other characters once in a while, especially since Saf and Aug don’t appear to be imminent.

They would want to lower your guard. I seen another gacha game did a similar fake-out with schedules before. You wouldn't know what to do if those 2 get slotted in unexpectedly in-between desert characters. Plus, they don't need to introduce those 2 characters as they're already part of the story in v1. You can still choose to gamble your chances at the risk of spending $1k+ later. For people who can't spend large amounts, we have to choose. It's really up to you haha. Just sharing my perspectives. :)
Not even to mentioning cooldown reduction and nrg cost reduction which is the paywall everyone is whining about. That’s the cream on top of her signature dish in my opinion!
Waiting for confirmation for the banner after Cocoa before deciding to pull or not. I don't like having less than 180 pulls for characters that I must have. Having 2 weeks less time to farm memory shards is not as damaging as not having enough resources to get the character you really want.
Since the game gave me so many luxites and secret fates, I can easily pull on Cocoa and still have enough for another upcoming banner. So I think I will pull on her, and then I'll reassess if I can pull on Homa (before Saffi+Aug?) and still have enough for Saffi. But I'm feeling pretty good about my situation right now :)
What makes Safiyyah good? I was looking at future units to know whether I should save for them or not and can't understand why everyone says she's one of the best units in the game.
@@sct77 She has a lot of strong abilities but the most unique thing in her kit is that she can change her role in the rock/paper/scissors hierarchy, i.e. she can change types to exploit any weakness. So instead of always being a Seeker with advantage over Breakers she can be counted as a Breaker to get an edge over Defenders, etc.
@@bibisumfan Hasna has some nice art and her kit is kind of interesting but compared to other units she has a somewhat narrow use case. Based on the info I’ve seen she does magic damage, which is rare especially for a Seeker and could make her more appealing to people building around magic teams. Her Trait also applies an AOE Debuff. She doesn’t have any truly exceptional skills though compared to say Saffiyah or Col. My guess as to why CN players don’t like her is that her personal damage may be sort of mid and/or is not effective in ToA, which drives a lot of the CN opinion. She hot though

Wow max out Cocoa does really help out the team a lot.
Role compression is much more important in team than dps IMO. Dont skip and regret folks. Covertanks,heals,buffs dmg and debuffs def. Wow!

Nothing will stray my dedication towards saff/auguste
But is she that good of a tank? To me, she looks like GREAT support and good healing, but I doubt she can absorb that many hits

she have dodge for one turn and counter at the same time, her dodge is unlimited for that 1 turn, that alone can make her solo carry alot of contents
