Swallows and Amazons | 1974 Film 50th Anniversary! | Windermere Jetty Museum

A 50th anniversary celebration of the 1974 Swallows and Amazons film was held at the Windermere Jetty Museum on the 29th and 30th of June 2024.
The event features screenings of the film, talks with original cast members, original memorabilia and props on display and of course the two dinghies from the film!
Original film Amazon and Mavis (the dinghy that inspired Amazon) were both available for visitors to take out sailing over the weekend, while original film Swallow was on display ashore, as she is awaiting restoration ready to also be available for hire (donations welcome!).
