Thanks Bro. I'm going to try to keep making between 10-15 min videos. With some smaller ones sprinkled in from time to time. I love that new Basin Wrench. they put some cool features into it.
That Fix It Guy I been sharing the heck out of your videos brother. Your channel should be much bigger you put out great content that people can actually use. I see some of these channels that put out garbage useless content that have hundreds of thousands subscribers. I hope it takes off for you and grows. You deserve it.
Thank you Steve. I really appreciate the kind words. I hope to keep the info flowing. I wish I had more time! I love helping people and learning new things. The best of both worlds here on TH-cam.
I’m listening to the plumber that posted, but he’s not all wrong. I use those wrenches before and without them I could not anything when it comes to a kitchen sink so this guy is right.
Man I wish I saw this video earlier. I do a lot of diy jobs around the house but never heard of a basin wrench before. I had to change some faucets in our bathroom the vanity is super tight no room at all. I ended up cutting down a pair of cheap Channel locks to get the job done (we’re still in lockdown 🙄) I figured there had to be a better way . Thanks for the video I’ve got one basin wrench on order 👍
Big high five for cutting down cheap channel locks and making that happen! I love that kind of stuff! So many times you have to do what it takes to get the job done! Thank you for checking us out!
I've used the basin wrench in conjunction with the tub wrenches (long deep open-ended socket with a hole I the ends to stick a breaker bar to remove stem back in the tub wall or basin nuts under the sink to remove a ks or lav fct . many many times.
thanks. i like the idea of a ratchet but probably don't have the money and what i really don't have is the room for a basin wrench to fit arount the nut because there's no space on the sink or wall sides. what i could use right now is a basin wrench with a smaller tip.
@@ThatFixItGuy i don't know why they don 't make a Basin Buddy that will fit larger sizes. we just ended up paying a plumber (who used a telescoping basin wrench) and even he had to cut the damn nut because it had been put on too tight. i would have tried an immense socket but even then it would have to have openings for the supply tubes.
I'm having a headache tightening my loose faucet. I just came back from Home Depot and purchased a basin wrench. I'm confused about your pivot explanation at 1.35. Don't i tighten clockwise or is it opposite with this basin wrench. Anyway, i'm trying it now. I'll be right back and give you an update.
@@ThatFixItGuy Without a photo to show you, I can't get that hook shape to go around the nut. The space is tight and the hoses are in the way. Even if I disconnected the hose, the basin wrench won't fit and grip the nut. It's a brass 2 inch wide nut. I've never seen a nut like this before. My faucet dd cost me $1000 so it must be european like BMW's where every part is different from USA. Anyway, I've decided to hire a plumber and purchase a new basic stainless steel faucet that doesn't cost $1000. He wants me to purchase Kohler. I assume its the favorite of plumbers and easy to install. The plumber tells me to buy a new faucet and he will do hos best to fix my existing faucet/ If he can fix it, then I can return the new faucet. In not, then he can install the new faucet immediately.
Well that does not sound like a bad Idea. If you have facebook you could send me a video or a picture if the faucet. Sometimes things are weird. I've totally had times where the basin wrench would not work and had to wing it.
@@ThatFixItGuy I'm making one more attempt at this. I'm buying that RED RIGID SINK and FAUCET INSTALLER I see all over youtube. I saw it at Home Depot when I went to purchase 2 other basin wrenches that was recommended by one of the employees there. He said the RIGID might not work since the nut is 2 inches, but I did watch a video where there is an adapted included that could work. If it doesn't work, I'll move forward with a Plumber. I'll try and send you a photo via FB. I assume your FB page is linked somewhere on your video. Thanks.
Yeah there is a link in the description box I’m happy to take a look at it. The red faucet wrench’s work good in some situations as well. Fingers crossed.
I could have used the bigger basin wrench for under the bath tub , It was very uncomfortable. and was thinking that there must be a tool on the market. I will have to look into it and the new ridgid with the light,
Would love to see you actually grip that faucet nut and make a turn (or attempt at least) with that wrench! In real world there.is.no.space to do that! Not to mention if the nut is crusty. 👽💪
I totally get what your saying. I’ve not had much success with other brands of basin wrench, but ridgid has been good to me. When I find an opportunity I will shoot a video with a basin wrench.
Honestly… I’m a plumber, and there’s still plenty of situations these are useless. I wouldn’t recommend buying one. Time tested yes, but it doesn’t work all the time.
I got pizza and a case of IPAs with your name on it if you come fix my sister's sink. I'm about to rip it out let alone all the sinks in my own house . I HATE SINKS. THE DUMP WAY THEYRE DESIGNED IS FREAKING 1930S TECH
Great video. That’s a handy little tool. Love the longer videos

Are Milwaukee basin wrenches decent?
For some reason I get excited about plumbing when I see those tools. Thank you for sharing!! 🌺
That is awesome. Thank you for watching!

Could have used one of these tools today but have to wait for delivery. Now I wait for delivery before trying again. Mucho thanks mon, ya done good.
Hope this ends up working out for you. Please let me know.

What type of tool I need to remove a washer lug nit on a water faucet to an rv bath tub?
helpful - thanks!
So glad this helped. Hope we can help again.
I had a drain pipe burst in the wall, and I couldn't get a regular pipe wrench in to pull the pipe out. This video helped me out tremendously. Thanks
That is great to hear! This is all about helping people! It makes us so happy the channel is doing that! Hope we can help again.
The new ridgid round red one is a killer too, saved my butt number of times
Awesome! Yeah I like that think as well. Seems like you need em all once in a while.

It is righty tighty. It is just funky under the sink at times with weird angles. Hope it went well.

Yeah the newer ridgid basin wrench is awesome! Built in light is a great feature.
Is a basin wrench wide enough to unscrew a sink-drain in a pedestal sink?
No unfortunately not. I have not found something to do that. You have to take the sink off the pedestal to change that
@@ThatFixItGuy thank you, yes that's what I thought after seeing a lot of faucet videos but most were a non-pedestal sink.

In a tight spot
It’s a good option

I once met a gynaecologist who could wallpaper a hallway through the letterbox.
How does any of these tools grab the nut?
Is it a really tight space? They made this style wrench with a little spring action to help catch and keep the wrench on the nut.
thank you for the washing machine example,,, I never thought about that,,,
Thank our welcome! Thank you for watching and hope I can help again!
Shoot I’d just get the Ridged Multi tool Wrench.
yeah if you would have actually got that wrench on one of those kitchen sink nuts it would’ve been a better example but that wrench was to wide.
None of these tools look like they fit in tight spaces?

I agree, but a they have saved me. Thank you for your comments.
I tried.. and agreed with you it’s junk tools for me.
What would you recommend over what he showed us?
i like to send my kids under there to get pipes under sink LOL
Wish I saw this video earlier
I feel that way sometimes too.
Shows how basin wrench would reach up there in theory. Never actually gets basin wrench up there in video. But OK.
I showed some uses, but your right I guess I never really showed how to use one. I will add it to the list and do a video. Thanks for watching.
Didn’t see you can loose any thing on this clip. It will not work
I know, but they do work. I may try a Milwaukee next. Some say it is a slimmer basin wrench.
But the problem with these ranch are the teeth of these ranch destroy the nut with scratches.
That is true but sometimes that is the only way to get them off! Thank you for watching.
Telescopy ?? you mean Telescopic surely
Lol! I was trying to say telescoping I think! Thanks for watching! I bet you could find a ton if you go through my videos!
