    ABOUT ME
    Hello and welcome to Color with Kendi! 😁
    I’m Ria, but I go by the artist name Kendi. I’m a TH-camr and Procreate artist based in Canada.
    My TH-cam channel, Color with Kendi, is my space to share fun and easy-to-follow Procreate art tutorials and tips for beginner and intermediate artists.
    How did I get here?
    My educational background is in nutrition, food engineering and chemical engineering. I’ve always loved art, but struggled to make it a lasting hobby until I discovered digital art in 2020. Since then, I’ve been utterly obsessed with the app, Procreate, and you’ll find me painting and sketching daily on my iPad.
    Art has brought so much joy and peace to my life and I want to share that joy with YOU. Color with Kendi is my space to do that.
    What do I do?
    Currently, I make Procreate art tutorials on TH-cam. My focus is on digital art made in Procreate, but since my earlier art experience was with traditional media such as watercolor and gouache, you’ll find that my digital art has more of a traditional media vibe.
    I also make custom Procreate brushes that are inspired by traditional media such as watercolor, gouache, ink, pencils and more. You can find those in my brushes shop: www.colorwithk...
    My goal is to share content and products that can help you make art a lasting hobby that brings you joy!
    How did I come up with the name Color with Kendi?
    I started my digital art journey just a few months after adopting my younger cat, Kendi. He’s always around me and has been my “art buddy” since the day I started painting in Procreate. So in a sense I was always “coloring with Kendi”. That’s where the name for the channel was born and I wanted to use Kendi as my artist name to honor my cat.

    This was so helpful! Do you know what a brushset.brushset file means? I'm thinking it means it is a duplicate?! Thank you, I never thought to make a divider :)

      Glad it was helpful! Yes, I think that would be a duplicate.

    Is there a way to move multiple brush sets at once to another part of your brush library (for example, say I download a bunch of sets and they all appear at the top of my library, but I want to move 3 of the to my “area” for watercolor brushes, 6 to my sketching brushes, etc? Is there a way to select multiple brush sets at once ? Sketching brushes

    • @colorwithkendi
      @colorwithkendi  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don’t think there is a way to do that. You can only select brush set at a time.

    Hi, new subscriber here! :) Is it possible to create a big set made of brushsets? If I want to organize my brushsets because I have a loto of them, is there a way to create a main folder (ex. "watercolor") and the add there all my watercolor brushsets? Thank you!

    • @colorwithkendi
      @colorwithkendi  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello! Unfortunately, Procreate does not have that functionality at the moment. I wish it did!

    Omg…thank you! One question I have…is there a way to add a small picture to my brush sets so I can remember which it it? For example, I’d like to use a picture from Etsy.

    • @colorwithkendi
      @colorwithkendi  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not that I know of, but you can use emojis in the brush set titles. I use those to help me remember which set is which.

      You could use a basic simple image and make a brush out of it. that you would set the simple image as the Grain source or Shape source for the brush. it needs to be simple and made black and white so the image is visible (colors don't show up on the Stamp Preview ...just the white on a black background)

    Is there a way to change line thickness on something you already drew without redrawing it completely? I realized the lines on my tattoo stencil are too thick, or in some cases too thin. Thanks for everything you do!

    • @colorwithkendi
      @colorwithkendi  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Dan, since Procreate is a raster (pixel based) program and not a vector program, there is no tool in Procreate to make that sort of change. However, there is a “hack” that might work. Hope it helps!

    What’s your Apple Pencil grip?

    • @colorwithkendi
      @colorwithkendi  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s from a brand called Uppr. I got it from Amazon.

    • @colorwithkendi
      @colorwithkendi  ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually the brand is Uppercase. They just write uppr on the grip itself so I thought that was the name of the company. They have a bunch of different colors.
