That is the smile of Carla in harmony with her two greatest loves, music and Matthias. Such an amazing piece of art, encapsulated in such a sincere performace
It is quite amazing to hear the breadth od sound from two musicians & two instrument.
Saw these two live at NEC and was blown away!
I've always looked for these connections too. There are so many stories in music.
I keep coming back to this video. So much to take in. I actually enjoy this more stripped down version over the album version. It's just so good.
You guys seriously should come to Chicago. This is so good it hurts
I find this video at a time of great musical/spiritual awakening. Music is magick, and these two are casting spells. Completely entrancing.
This comment really jumps out at me. I've been wanting to reply ever since I read it, but haven't known what exactly to say. All I know is that when I'm listening to music I love, I feel more complete; more connected; more...at home than I ever do in any other situation. Ever. I'm 5 years too late in saying this, but , hey- maybe somebody else who feels feel this way will read this at some point and feel a little less alone , just like I do right now. Music IS magick. I can't think of any better way to explain it.
»make room for the curious one« ... thank you Carla & Matthias, just made my day :)
So happy to discover this after years of missing Sleepy time. Thank you!
I've only recently discovered this most incredibly beautiful and haunting music. It's strangely exotic, and hits deeply inside of the soul. I thank you both!!

Carla and Matthias,
Your collaborations are so moving.
I have listened to your adaptations of e.e. cummings' poems with rapture.
It was such a pleasure to meet you in Guelph.
I hope some sage promoters in Montreal have the wisdom to coax you up here.
Peace and Love,
Paul

Damn, I'm so late to this party. I hope it's still going on.
I'm later! Just in time for the hangover?
@Sean Menge: Carla & Matthias have their own channel RabbitRabbitRadio on TH-cam with a ton of great videos they've been producing for the last year. You can probably contact them there or through their website to see if they can make it out to Chicago.
E' una cosa meravigliosa.... complimenti :D
the most beautiful song i've ever heard. this is a masterpiece. seriously! i wish you both well. please keep creating amazing music together. i'm curious to know if you can top this one.
THIS is modern music. wish they´d come to germany. oh, carla! Charly says hi.
how did they manage to pan the vocals and instruments? multiple, cleverly placed mics?
good ears... recorded and mixed by friends who are documentary film makers... subtle wizardry! i don't remember the full mic setup though.
Skillz!!
muito bom !! e para dançar também !!
i think carla wears her ring on her right hand so it wont bang against the back of her violin neck and finger board...
gentle giant + sleepytime gorilla museum acustic duo
