Go to Info tab, then click the grey round button to get your skill full list, then select Control on the top right drop down menu. You will see a skill with Dispel written under it, normally Purifying Thunder. To cast it manually, go to Journey tab, then hold your finger (or click) on Auto.
All that time until level 79 before realizing that I did not use the right active skills for tanking
