8:52 Water does not have to go through the holes and touch the sensor. If there is air trapped there, it will have the same pressure as the water pressing on it. 9:03 These sensors may look the same, but they are certainly not the same in construction. The one from the depth sensor has a different range and can measure much higher pressure. If they were the same, Casio would only use one.
Very impressive disassembly, especially the trick you did with applying vasoline to the small e-clips so you wouldn't lose them (I think that's what you were doing). I just removed the back and crown from my GWN1000 Gulfmaster since I have been getting condensation under the crystal. Sat it in a container of dry rice over night with the back removed, but the condensation showed up again (had my arm out the window will drive, when I brought my arm back into the car, it formed). I just noticed that there appears to be an o-ring missing form the crown stem. Going to find one at work tomorrow and see if it works. Not good quality control from Casio. Thanks for the video!
I realize this was a very long time ago, but do you happen to recall if that metal ring that sits on top of the resin bezel and around the over/under metal ring (the part that looks like you had to pry it off with your screwdriver by going along the edges) is something you can replace without having to disassemble everything up to the point where you actually took it off in the video?
Hello there! Nice job! Can you tell me if the upper crown (the one with numbers and the write over and under) its only glued with the rest? Or there is a sort of mechanical block with the lower crown? Many thanks
Hey man, thank you for this video it’s a lifesaver. Question: what’s the easiest way to put the green ring bezel back on when reassembling the watch? Use silicon lubricant, or heat it slightly? Mine won’t go back on!! Help!!!
thanks for your detailed disassembly video. very interesting. I have this watch and unfortunately there is a dead segment in the digital display. is there a way to fix it?
hi i have the same gulfmaster, and i have the same column of dead pixel after only using for 2.5 months, luckily itl be replaced under warranty but it seems like a defect in all of them ?
That's an fascinating trilogy! One thing... I managed to scratch the sapphire crystal watch glass on my Q1000 and would like to swap it for a new one. Is it easy to remove the crystal from the case front? If so, how do I go about doing this? Thank you.
Great job, bring on part 2 👍🍻 Ps: was that glue or tape holding the metal bezel (with under & over written on it?) And what will you use to re-attach it?
gshock highfashion cool & thanks for that!👍 Couple of questions (if you don’t mind), Will you replace that tape or just use the old when putting it back together? How many o-rings are in the case around the crown stem (didn’t see any on the stem🤔)? Cheers 👍🍻
I would like to polarize the display of the GWN Q1000 positively. is it necessary to remove the hands? Would it be better to align all 3 at 12 o'clock? Thank you
Yes, the hands need to be removed first before removing the circuit board to access the display panel. You can try aligning them at 12. The problem is removing them without misaligning them back. It is harder to do since all the hands are located at one place.
@@gshockhighfashion Okay, thanks for the reply. But even if the hands misalign, it could be manually set at 12 o'clock, then put the hands back in the right position, all three at 12 o'clock. If the hands misalign what happens?

That's what I'm thinking too, I think you should be able to fry out that black metal bezel without disassembling everything.
Mine just arrived in the mail. I feel like a kid at christmas :)
This video is soo satisfying to watch. Great editing! Good job brother thanks!!
Thanks for watching man!! two more will come though. :D
yeah can't wait for part 2
And again suuperb job Brotha ❤

I can't figure out how to fix it, yet. Too bad
@@gshockhighfashion can you recommend a supplier for the spare parts of this watch?

sensors look the same but they are not, the depth sensor is different from the ABC one, it used also in GWF-D1000

The green ring is what holds it into place. The tape is there so that it wont rotate as easily when we wear it.

Is it the same way to remove crown for gwn1000?
Do you have to remove the right side buttons and crown to get the bezel off?
Yes
@@gshockhighfashion thanks
At least bezel swap is pretty much pain in the ass 😂
Exactly.
How to hard swap green ring ( bezel SS) ? I got some scratched , have to remove bezel ( ring )

Awesome work
It's hard to remove the bezel..
Can someone tell me the easiest way to change the black resin bezel that fits over the buttons ? . I wish to swap for a light grey one .
Thats the only way. Unless you're willing to cut the thin section underneath the button and glue them back afterwards.
@@gshockhighfashion do you have to cut the thin section underneath when installing a new bezel?
Can someone please tell me the item name of the watch band inserts, or an item number?
thank 😊👍👍👍
How bout the kog bro
I need to buy the watch first. So, might need more time on that. 😅
The bezel is on duct tape?not good,casio...
It is supported on its side by the green ring. The tape is there so that it wont wiggle/rotate anywhere actually. Yeah.
coool
Help me please. Screen missing number.
Same here. Sadly there's no solution for that, yet.
