  • Jan Felix in conversation with Ray Yeung, Stan Guingon and Chowee Leow on 'Suk Suk'.
Ray Yeung’s film is based on recordings of oral history. It offers a touching insight into a hidden world and skilfully addresses the discrimination and isolation faced by older people living outside traditional family structures. In calm, subtly observant images, he sensitively depicts the passionate love two men find for each other in their old age.

So excited to see this movie Suk Suk...i hope this will be shown too here in my country - the Philippines. LGBT films are alive and accepted here but just on a 'lighter' and oftentimes comedy films only. I think Filipino audience, also Asian, will surely appreciate this film which tackles a sensitive issue in a 'deeper' perspective.... I am beginning to 'fall in love' with the director of this film; so witty and intelligent...a new Ang Lee .....hahahaha🤗😁😍. Good luck and congratulations
