My problem with these and V1s is the technology is no different than the 574, along with the looks. You can get better comfort from non MiUSA, and while I know the price is about the materials, it’s just hard to justify the price.

They will definitely hold up better and maybe provide slightly better comfort in terms of fit, but as far as the actual tech it’s not really much different for a higher premium. By no means would I take a 574 OVER these in anyway. Rather, I’m just saying if I were looking for a chill NB shoe and saw this price, followed by a 574 at a lower price (and didn’t know any better), I could see more people getting the 574.

How do miUSA 996s compare to 574s in sizing? I have a pair of asia-made 574s in a size US 10, and they’re slightly roomy length-wise. Would 996 sizing be any different? Should I size half a size down or order another size 10 (I’ve heard that the 996 is narrower)? Sorry for the stupid question and thanks for your time.

I'll probably never buy another pair of 574's after getting my first pair of 996's. Superior all the way. If you can afford the 100$ price difference I would never look back. I know I wont!

For me I go with a US10 in the 574 and a 9.5 in the 996.
