Hi there, thanks for the video. On your video you say that to claim for the 30h funding "parents combined earnings must be less than £100k", however on the GOV website it says "If you OR your partner have an expected ‘adjusted net income’ over £100,000 in the current tax year, you will not be eligible." As they use "or" instead of "and", my understanding is that each parent must earn less of £100k independently, not combined. Is my understanding correct or an I missing something?
Hey funding is not that good for providers, I am a childminder ofsted reg and graded outstanding and I’m considering leaving the sector with the new role out of the extended funding for 9months -4year as this will make it very difficult for me to make the numbers stack up with all other costs increasing. The gov do not pay a sufficient amount for small childcare providers like myself to be able to make it worth our while. I’ve been running for 7years and so sad I’m think of closing up.
It depends on the LA. Some pay per term others pay monthly. And they pay a total of all the funding claimed for that period. So they'll pay the total of all the children claiming 15 and 30 hours.
Thank you for making this video. I’m currently looking at other options as an exit strategy so if you would be interested in a partnership or joint venture please let me know 🙂
Yes the nursery ratio calculator is free and works it out for you automatically. Check it out here: www.openanursery.co.uk/nursery-ratio-calculator-staff/

Yes, apologies for the confusion. It isn't a combined total. It is individually

I know, it's very difficult which is why hopefully by using our voices we can create a change
Thank you for the video, does the LA pay the childcare providers on a monthly basis? Do they also pay the total amount of the 15h/30h per week?
It depends on the LA. Some pay per term others pay monthly. And they pay a total of all the funding claimed for that period. So they'll pay the total of all the children claiming 15 and 30 hours.
Is it compulsory for nurseries to accept government funded children?
No it's not
150 or 200 hours
What is this in reference to?
🔥🔥🔥
thanks
